Walker Mowers are simply the best front deck mower on the market! The out-front advantage offers a quality cut, plenty of trim edge, and gives you the best seat in the house when it comes to mowers! They also offer year-round versatility with offering several attachments such as snow blowers, brooms, and sprayers that can be added to the mower.

I've been using Walker mowers for years and there is simply nothing that competes with their front floating deck and grass-collecting system. For small properties with lots of obstacles like mine, these mowers are perfect. Made in America!

Currently here at Walker School for Sales Training and this family/team/employers are simply amazing! Very accommodating, enthusiastic, informative, and the class was super fun with tons of hands on involvement and competitive obstacles! The warehouse is exceptionally impressive being that they hand make each machine, each part from a sheet of steel! Each prototype slightly different and with customers feedback improvements made with every change! Thank you Walker family!

In 2015 the T25 I cost $15,000 now it's over $21,000 !! They are nice machines but require a lot of cost and money to maintain and there is a lot of parts to go bad. There is not much to their mower decks just simple gear boxes ran off a PTO and outdated height adjustment pins that are not easy to adjust. They work better when brand new but after a couple seasons of use they don't hold up well, and they want several thousand dollars for a new deck. This is a nice machine but they are way too proud of them.

I've owned a couple Walker mowers and have run nothing but Walkers the past 20+ years. I've always been impressed with them, and after touring the plant, I'll likely be a Walker customer for another 20+ years. I simply dropped by the facility while in the area on a vacation from out of state and was greeted by a very polite and friendly receptionist. She quickly introduced me to the president of the company (Bob Walker). I was then taken on a nice tour of the plant, all after simply showing up unannounced, never having any contact with anyone at Walker prior. That's how you treat a customer, even just a simple/individual/residential customer like me. Thanks Walker folks!

Walker S14 Review: LEMON has been Re-conditioned to LEMONADE Thanks to Brian @ Emmett Equipment: Your machine got a couple “upgrades” to make as close to the “newest” style with regards to the PTO driveline. We adjusted the steering tracking as well, and gave it a good wipe down to look good! Also, Walker and Emmett gave an adjustment to prior repair fees.
Original Story below:
We purchased our Walker S14 in Indianapolis, on June 1, 2016 with a 42” mulching deck, which is superb. It literally pulverizes the grass and leaves to the point that I need to wear a clear face shield to prevent inhaling the debris. This is like a natural dose of fertilizer to the lawn!! Rarely, in the heavy spring grass, it may leave an occasional clump, when the weather prevents mowing once every 5 days and it ends up being 7-8 days in between mowings. I love the way this mower handles and rides. It is a little trickier to learn than our two previous ZTR mowers, but the quality of the mow job makes up for that.
However, in the fall of 2018, we had a major issue and expense to solve a very mysterious problem. It took weeks to pinpoint the issue because it was intermittent. We finally had to have the dealership pick it up and I told them not to bring it back until it was working consistently. It turned out that not just one, but two of the electrical circuitry were faulty and caused the mower to stop unexpectedly in the middle of a job. That turned out to be an expensive repair on top of the bi-annual routine maintenance they did at the same trip. As I remember, the bill was close to $580 and the annual maintenance runs around $250. This mower was just over 2 years old, but of course, out of warranty. Things went well for almost two years…….
Then, in late summer 2020, I started hearing some metal noises that I could not locate, but did not sound good. I had the dealership come pick it up to diagnose and also do the bi-annual routine maintenance instead of waiting until winter. I really needed this mower for fall leaf mulching because it is so much better than our older Toro ZTR that mulches, but doesn’t have a special aerodynamic deck design. It was supposed to take 1-2 weeks, but ended up taking over 5 weeks due to COVID problems at the dealership and at the regional parts distributor. This second MAJOR problem was a bad Jack Shaft and Jackshaft bearings and damaged bracket which caused the mower not to start or engage blades. This time, the bill was just under $680, with the annual maintenance part normally being around $250.
Now, we are not new at this mower ownership game. We’ve had our 3.3 acre property since spring 1978 and have owned several riding mowers. My husband and I have different jobs around the property, and mowing/pulling vehicles are essential. We usually have two in case one doesn’t function and mowing is critical and mower repair is exceedingly slow when you need it the most. Our three most recent ZTR’s have been a Snapper, and now the Toro and the Walker. We have NEVER in all the riders we’ve owned, had one that was treated as a Princess, as this one has been, yet had SO MANY major problems in such a young machine.
We have serious doubts to ever recommend getting a Walker after owning this one. It has been a LEMON, to be sure!! I just hope that this is the end of the MAJOR PROBLEMS with this machine. A third time is not going to be the charm.
Update March 2021: But we sincerely hope that it is properly upgraded to "near new" that Brian @ Emmett has stated because I really do love this mower. Walker seems sincere to make customers happy and it is appreciated.
