How I wished my gran was around to enjoy this local market as we did.
Walked in to buy delicious Kellum oysters and bought a birdhouse, VA peanuts, hat, plus produce. The crab pie looked really great!
This market has a little bit of everything & good quality.
Sarah was so helpful, kind & very patient as we kept strolling around the market like kids.
Don’t pass by Kellum’s Farm Market on Irvington Rd. You’ll love it.

Lots of good fresh baked things that liked yummy! Bought some cherry butter, peaches, and fresh cookies. Cookies were wonderful. Can't wait to try the other stuff.

3 strikes and you're out. This store used to be good and people nice to deal work. Went to get a credit owed for lump crab and no one could fine the credit that should have been there. Was accused of maybe I didn't buy the crab since they didn't have the credit. I have done a LOT of shopping at this store. Owner or someone was called and the shopkeeper was told to honor the credit. Wanted some clams that I was told were 50 cents each and wanted 25. This same lame clerk told me she would have to call to open a bag. WHAT !!
Never mind Kellum, won't be coming back. As I said this is the third strike in about a year. It's too bad owners cannot rely on the good sense of their employees. I was in there for 30 minutes to get the credit owed and buy a few things. NOT to use of time.

This place has a variety of high quality seafood and vegetable options, along with other interesting items worth perusing.
Honestly, I go often just for the ice cream. It’s pretty pricey, but worth every penny. I was talked into trying the lemon crunch (didn’t think lemon could possibly work as an ice cream flavor) and it’s incredible! You can’t go wrong with any of the flavors though 😀

What a beautiful display of locally sourced seafood. The market has lovely produce.
Unfortunately on a sour note. . . I ordered 1 dozen oysters 3 to 4 days ahead of time. Just a mere 17hrs before pick up I was called to be told they had none. I had even called to check this morning. It is risky to put all your oysters in this basket.
