I emailed corporate about two weeks ago no response. I had a cake made for my son's 1st birthday a child that was my miracle child. I always shop at food city but since this I don't go there as much as I did. Birthday may not seem like a big deal but my son's 1st birthday was a big deal to me and my husband. The boarder was not even finish around the cake. The color of the picture was not the same color in the book. As you can see on the cake all the animals on the picture have ither a blue or greenish tent. The only positive thing was at least it tasted good but if I'm gonna pay 50 bucks for cake it needs to be perfect I always get my cakes through food city. But I don't think I will be getting anymore after this. Because this was not the first inceadent. We order allot of cakes through them.

Stop to get groceries after work, 9:30pm, there was only a few other customers in the store, less that 10. When I went to the self check out...as I always do...there was only 1 other person using them. The other 4 were open. As I am 1/2 done an associate working the front walks over to me and says, "as a reminder next time you have that much use a regular lane, 15 or less only". Now if it was the middle of the day, or if it were busy, or if anyone would have been in line behind me then of course I would have understood this. BUT...it was not busy!!! Why have self check outs if you don't want us to use them. Sorry, but I've done cashier work for more years than some of these cashiers have been alive. So since it was such an inconvenience to the whole 0 people waiting in line for my register, I'll just go to Food Lion or Wal-Mart from now on. No problem!!

I would never recommend food city in Marion va to shop for anything because they charged me for shoplifting but I wasn't checking out at the self service kiosk, I was with my girlfriend but I found out by a employee that food City security as well as manager doesn't like me and that is why I got charged with shoplifting, just because someone doesn't like you, don't give them a reason to have you charged with shoplifting and being arrested and banned for life.

Very clean, staff Very friendly. Cashiers always say hello, unlike some other cashiers in a major chain. Prices could be lower. I shop there every week. Keep up the great work. A smile goes a long way, and I thank you for your friendly staff and clean store.

I only shop at Food City when I can't find it cheaper elsewhere. They hiked their prices during Covid, and the never went back down. Why pay $5+ for cauliflower when I can get it across the street for $3? I used to spend $200+ per week there, now I have whittled it down to around $50/wk.

This Food City has an amazing salad bar.
Choose this salad over all the fast food, and you are doing yourself-a great service!

From the walk into the store and to said bar, to eating a healthy meal-no grease or yucky fat! It’s all good for you and your well being!❤️

This Food City is massive with a café and bakery as well. Great selections and good prices. Be sure to get their shop card for loyalty points, discounts, and gas points.
