This is my favorite place for mild steel. The selection and organization of the steel product is easy to view and walk through. They always have a scrap bin and I seem always to be able to find what I came for. The cutting foreman is always helpful and readily available and the front desk folks are always helpful and are great to work with. I had some specific cuts I needed that I could not do myself and the front desk folks arranged the cutting elsewhere and had it back to me in a day or two. From my experience, the prices are some of the best you will find.

Well after the scathing review I read about Cory's terrible customer service I almost pasted this place up. That would have been a huge mistake on my part. Turns out, Cory is a pretty nice guy who didn't seem to have any trouble giving me all the help I needed! There was a younger guy there also (didn't catch his name) who was also extremely helpful. I was shown around the whole place and feel the customer service was outstanding. As previously mentioned by another review. The remnants bins/shelves offer lots of good pieces at a great price for weekend warriors like myself.

In short. Customer service was great, prices are good, and I will be going back in the future.

Eastside Steel is the ONLY place i recommend to people. Their prices are better than anyplace else around. They are honest, helpful and knowledgeable. I was helping a friend recently with a metal project. He thought he could find a better deal in Portland. So, after killing most of a day striking out across the river, we finally did what we should have done that morning. We went to Eastside Steel and got exactly what we needed, at a much better price and we were in and out in just a few minutes. If you need to find a hipster, go to Portland. If you want quality metal at a reasonable price, stay in Vancouver and go to Eastside Steel.

These guys are awesome. They work hard every day and they know their business and never fail to provide any assistance you need.
I especially like the fact that they have small remnants sold by weight. Perfect for small projects.
Of course I would never expect them to stay late for me. That would be just rude on my part. Many of them have obligations to get to after work. I know this is true for Corey especially.

I go to east side steel at least once a week, they never disappoint! Cory was always very helpful and kind. Jason is the main guy that seems to be there now and is also very helpful and kind. They got a large selection of steel and if they dont have what you need they can get it on order asap. Highly recommend east side steel!
