The marina in Anacortes has a wonderful walkway that goes along the Harbour and along the beautiful Madronas! It is nice and flat, easy access at any point for parking. I suggest the far end closest to the work out facility to start, lots of parking there! Unless you decide to climb the stair cases up into the treed woods at the end, the round trip walk will take you 20-30minutes at a brisk pace. There are pretty garbage cans all along the trail advertising fishing companies and The Lady of the Sea in Waiting statue. I was thrilled to find this walk having frequented Anacortes for years and never known about it. The ferry’s to the San Juan Islands just minutes away!

We sat between the parking lot and the edge of the water to watch, unobstructed, the 4th of July fireworks display in Anacortes. The spot was perfect for viewing both the ground display on the off-shore platform and the aerials bursting overhead. There were both paved and natural areas with plenty of room to spread out away from other viewers. Parking was easy because the gate to the large parking lot was open. People brought their own chairs or blankets for seating. The display lasted 22 minutes.

I bought a boat on the hard in Anacortes. After a couple of months preparing to launch. I found a slip at Anacortes Marina. These people here at the marina are so helpful. Friendly and kindness seems to run rampant here in Anacortes. This is a great place to begin my journey.

We put in at Anacortes Marina and paddled to Washington Park...it's called the Guemes Channel the total miles paddled was about 6 the day was beautiful the paddle was fantastic.

It was a little choppy at one point but we got through it fine, paddling past the Ferry was a first for me but again it was fine.

It was nice to see all the people getting out side and enjoying Washinton park as we paddled in, families having a great time.

We saw Tug-boats, seals laying on docks and Mount Baker and all his glory.

It was well worth the time we spent, I would do it again and again.

There seems to be some confusion about the marinas in Anacortes. The ANACORTES MARINA is a privately owned facility with secured dock gates, covered moorage, private restroom facilities, and a boatyard. There is also an office building for many marine related businesses including Anacortes Yacht Charters, Yachtfinders, and Seattle Yachts to name a few.

The Cap Sante Marina is a public marina run by the Port of Anacortes and is located just to the north of the Anacortes Marina. Some of the reviews shown here are describing the Cap Sante Marina - mentioning walkways, picnic, public restrooms/showers, Anthony's Restaurant, ferry parking.

Great dock spaces a d facilities!

This marina is the only marina where 2-3 foot waves in your slip with calm winds, and it gets worse from there. Add the otters that take over and trash your boat, it is a terrible experience. It looks like a nice marina but the worst ever.
