I live in deep river but seldom use this store. Back when prices skyrocketed I overheard someone ask the manager why the high prices. His response "because we can, where else will people go?" I just stopped in for celery and carrots because I forgot them. Never again, it was $6, not too bad however walking to check out I noticed store brand sugar, 4-5 lb bag for $6 and change, Hellman's mayo 32oz jar $8.49! Are you kidding me?! That's insane and clearly ripping people off "because they can" So long as people keep shopping there the prices will never come down. I will never set foot in that store again and encourage others to make the trip to other stores as a clear message that this is unacceptable! That store and family who own it are a disgrace to this community especially when prices overall are high. Gas prices are coming down, shop elsewhere and send them a clear message!

Decent grocery store. Good location right on the main street. Lots of parking. Clean, bright. The issue: prices are astronomical. Way too high. 2$ for one red pepper. And produce quality is not that good. Most are old, dull, small.

The driver to Big Y in OSB is another 15 minutes. If price and quality matters, go there.

I have been shopping at Adams for years. It has gone downhill. The hamburger is rotten on the inside. The chicken case stinks like rotten chicken. I have complained to the butcher about the chicken case and nothing gets done. I bought chicken salad and the chicken was black and old.. Get it together Adams!!!

Adams is a nice well stocked supermarket. They have many of the basics and also some very interesting items. Their bakery has many bargains and some fantastic muffins. Wave at the lobsters, they might wave back.

I have gone to Adam's for years,
Always stop at florist, I believe her name was Diane, not sure, but her talent was fantastic, a truly talented florist, then 1 day she was gone, and now, what a nightmare.
I was a florist for 23 years, educated, the person you have now is awful, he has no idea how to design, and your flower shop looks like it's closing!
A amateur for sure! Sad to see!

They pack a lot of choices in this small town grocery store. The produce section is impressive. It leads right to
the deli which has all the great meats and cheeses along with sandwiches, rotisserie food, prepackaged meals to grab and eat, heat and eat or you can get a variety of dishes and soups off the hot bar.
Meats and seafoods including a lobster tank! Beer, etc, too!
The bakery has all kinds of fresh breads and goodies.
Don't bother to use the self checkouts until they get them debugged, but there are plenty of checkouts.

Just went to Adams Market June 25th. They are a bit overpriced.Liuzzi grated cheese which is made in Nort Haven CT I can get at my supermarket in Cheshire CT for $11.00 rounded off . Heck you could probably go to their Store Market in North Haven and get for around the same. Either people in Essex have an aborbanant amount of money or the Deli manager has no clue.
