My statement:
This is Brittney keeling.
I was informed there will be no LOA for people on a final. Because, "you're not doing them any favors."
I recall when I first started at this company I had restrictions which this company was required to abide by. I CHOSE to get a second opinion so I could perform all my tasks with no restrictions. Sounds like I did SGL a favor.
During my pregnancy I had every symptom possible and I could have milked it and missed as many days as I wanted. But you know what I did? I did overtime every week.
I had to fight to get my meezly 6 weeks with my brand new baby. And I had to ASK where I should pump after spending a whole night pumping in the bathroom. When I do pump on my breaks I take my break & pump at the same time to save time to get back to my crew. Legally, I do not have to do that. I can pump, then take my break.
We had a safety competition and I was 1 of the very few that participated in it and I'm sure I put the most in. I even encouraged everyone to put them in.
I had a major family emergency where my children's father nearly died and I was told in a very uncaring manner that I should make it work with my schedule.
I became ill after working 6 straight nights here, went to a physician to confirm to the company that I was in fact sick. That was disregarded.
This company is not regarding the employees that actually work or their health. The morale and turnover rate reflect this.
Obviously I am giving more to this company than is deserved and than I receive in return.
I hope in the future this company does better for it's hourly employees that do the hands-on, physical work. Perhaps unionize.
