The absolute best!!! I have been taking my film here for years, and have never waited longer than three days to receive digital files. Plus, the owners are incredibly kind and helpful, no matter what you need help with.
I also recently accidentally opened the back door of my camera, briefly exposing the film. They opened it in a dark room and I got every single picture back, even though I expected to lose the entire roll. I almost cried.

I rarely write reviews, but Total Photo in Solana Beach deserves all the praise! After months of going to George’s Camera, waiting forever for my film and paying lotsa money, I decided to try this place out, and I am so glad I did.

First off, the woman working there was incredibly friendly and welcoming. I felt like a valued customer from the moment I walked in. I dropped off six rolls of film from an international trip, and to my surprise, they were ready the NEXT DAY! It’s practically unheard of, especially when most places take 2-3 weeks for processing. (Don’t forget to ask for a free loyalty card!)

The location is super convenient too, with plenty of parking available since it’s in a shopping center. Even if you don’t live nearby, trust me, it’s worth the drive – it’s right off the freeway, so it’s easy to get to. And if traffic is an issue, they even offer after-hours film drop-off!

Total Photo has officially won me over. If you’re looking for fast, friendly, and reliable film processing, look no further!

I am so bummed for two reasons 1. I wanted to support a local business so I drove over with my toddler to get a passport photo of her taken at total photo vs a CVS type establishment and 2. I didn't love the treatment we received when we talked in - felt very odd which made me just want to vent.

We walked in and explained what we wanted and were told that they don't take infant photos. Hard stop. My child is 2.5, she is a toddler. She can take directions, listen, respond. There wasn't even an attempt to take the passport photo or recommend a place that would. The woman working just told me they don't take infant photos and so we just turned around and walked out.

I would have loved a bit more context, clarity, and kindness. A reco of where we could go or do would have made all the difference. Especially since going anywhere with a toddler (while due with my second in a week) is work so we had to plan this outing and make sure we were dressed appropriately for the photos.

Mission not accomplished :/

If you live in San Diego and need film developed, this is the place to go! It is well-priced and organized, and I usually get my film photos digitally within two days of dropping them off! Owners are amiable, and I have never had any issues.

Excellent service. They have converted a 26 year old family video, along with old photos from negatives and put them on a flash drive. The owner is informative and very helpful.

Canadian passport photos were excellent. Highly knowledgeable and provided peace of mind due to their high level of expertise and experience in dealing with passport photos. Great customer service that was also appreciated. Highly recommended to ensure no shadows or glare for proper passport photo submission.
