I looked for a church for several years before finding The Bay. Pastor John is one of the most sound, balanced pastors I've ever heard. He teaches real biblical doctrine. He teaches us what Jesus' characteristics are and what and why we should emulate them. Christianity must focus on being more like Jesus. Some churches do not teach who Jesus is and do not demonstrate the fruit of the spirit. This church shows love, gentleness, kindness, teaches discipline and self-control. They give to the poor and support the Bay Area community. Love this place!!!

This "church" is an example of fake, toxic Christianity at its finest. My truck was broken into and car stereo destroyed, which they refused to do anything about. I was also told that I couldn't be in the worship band because I would be "the only white male". You are required to give the little finances you have in these tough times to people who are worth millions and have the means to send their son to Harvard. Then they flaunt in your face how much property they are buying up at a rapid pace via your financial contributions. Stay away if you care about not being scammed by people who could not care less about you.

This has been my church for 14yrs after trying a few churches when steeping in Bay Area. This is a Bible based church, pastors and their teachings are full of messages , this church accommodates God’s creations from all walks of life; has services for different ages including babies and preschools. This church follows “loving God; loving people”. This church is compassionate as it offers free groceries each Saturday; free hot showers and clothings for the homeless and a number of outreach programs to help people especially those who are in need. I love this church where I feel I belong.

The Bay Church holds a special place for me. Grew up in this church dating back to the 90s. The lead pastors and entire leadership team are beautiful souls who remain very yielded to God's work. Was part of the worship ministry for some time and loved it. Great place to connect, learn, grow, and serve.

I just moved here from Wisconsin, and grew up Presbyterian, was confirmed Lutheran but drifted away from my spiritual roots. Once I moved to California I connected again through yoga and meditation. After hearing many positive reviews I decided to check out The Bay Church (formally known as Calvary Temple Church) and felt very welcome even though I came by myself. I did not know what to expect but was very happy with the worship music, it is clear that the servant leaders have deep connections with the Lord, the atmosphere is uplift and energizing. If you feel comfortable raising a hand, or dancing that is totally welcome, if you rather connect inward then that is totally welcome as well. After service I went to a Connect Station and was given a gift just for attending. Lots of great programs are offered to adults, families, singles, and children. I look forward to Sundays and wish the services were longer! John is a dynamic speaker and always keep the focus on Loving God, and Loving People. Wonderful 10/10, 5 Star Review! Say hi when you visit, I am usually at the 9am on Sundays!

When I first moved here I was in search of a church, there was this event were the sweetest little old lady invited me to this church. I finally had a Sunday off, I decided to visit.,The worship service was great! And even the actual service was great. It's just the people there weren't very friendly, I felt invisible and unimportant. I think only 2 people regonized I was new and welcomed me. It's a pretty big church, so maybe that's something I should have expected. It was just very impersonal and uncomfortable. I was a little disappointed cause I read all the reviews and was excited
