Was at a Shasta recreation campground on the Trinity river the last two weeks. The garbage can wasn't picked up the whole time. Bears tore into the trash cans every single night, we picked up the trash every single time and even notified an employee. Do better Shasta recreation! $20 a night to camp.

The office staff were so hopeful answering all my questions and showing me the Shasta lake area and things to do outdoors, thank you for all your hard work keeping all the Campgrounds, Boat Ramps, clean and safe for all of us to enjoy the outdoors.

Why doesn't your company offer a 365 day pass like every other reputable institution in California (including Whiskeytown Lake and CDFW's Fishing Licenses)? Furthermore, why doesn't your company offer 6 month passes or monthly passes?

"Annual passes" are a predatory marketing gimmick that does a disservice to the constituents of Shasta county who want to enjoy the area in which we reside in. Who is going to pay over $215 for an "annual pass" in June, when in fact it will only be good for less than 6 months of access to Shasta, Trinity, and Lewiston Lakes? This is totally unacceptable and even California Department of Fish and Wildlife has changed their fishing licenses to a 365 day license instead of an "annual pass".There needs to be reasonable options for the constituents of Shasta county who want to use a public boat ramp ( initially paid for with our tax dollars). I am completely fine with the current price for the annual pass if it was converted to a 365 day pass and there should be other options that are available such as a 6 month pass that is good for at least 182 days from the date of purchase.
