I was skeptical as to what ostrich land would have to offer, however, my skepticism was quickly thrown by the wayside as soon as I entered. Lots of families and children were interacting with the emus and ostriches to feed them their nutritious pellets similar to the type that rabbits eat. They were very interesting to watch and use different methods of getting their attention to feed them from the provided plastic bowls with wooden handles containing their food pellets. I absolutely loved the ostrich land original artwork on different banners, plaques and billboards around the facility. I also love the gift shop where mini ostrich items could be purchased. I ended up selecting two different shot glasses to bring home as souvenirs. I would highly recommend ostrich land to anybody with small children or even up to teenage children and also any adults would have much interest in visiting as well.

We are on our way back home from visiting Solvang for the weekend. We decided to stop here for a little one and what a treat it was. As the name suggests, they only have ostriches and for $1 you get to feed them. The entrance fee is $7 per adult. Overall, they had many different feeding stations to choose from, it was a great small venue and easily completed within 30 minutes. They had two small parking lots and it can get crowded but we went on a Sunday and we had parking choices.

What a fun experience! It’s a perfect stop for animal lovers of all ages. The ostriches and emus are such unique, quirky creatures, and getting to feed them up close was such a thrill!

They have everything set up for safe, hands-on feeding (tip: hold on tight to your feeding bowl because these big guys love their snacks!).

Ostrichland USA offers a memorable outing. I recommend you stop by if you’re in the area.

Great place to see and feed the ostriches and emus!! Lots of birds that are really fun to watch. The entrance is $7 per person and one bowl of feed is $1. More than reasonable for the amount of fun this place provides. Free parking, restrooms on site and proximity to Solveng makes it a great place to stop for an hour or two. They also sell ostrich eggs when they are in season.

Super cool! Worth the stop! $18 for two adults, two kids and two food bowls. Cool experience for the kids to feed the ostriches and emus. Please pay attention to your kids, we witnessed two kids (one being our own) getting pecked by an ostrich. It was the same one, a female that seemed to like nipping kids thumbs as they held onto the food bowls. There was no blood but just a warning that it can happen. Very cool experience!

Went on a Saturday around 2 pm in July, it wasn't too crowded. They do stop selling food on busy days to keep the birds (and squirrels) from gaining too much weight! We were there for about 45 minutes. If you bring kids, just plan to bring $20 per kid for the stuffed animal souvenir!

The host was a one woman show. It is pretty much a self guided tour. You get a bowl of feed for a $1. It's great entertainment and fun. There's also squirrels that wanted in on the feed. Careful they will Peck you. Also they have an angel feather wall for photos.

Fun! Quick stay. You spend about 10-15 minutes total feeding the ostrich and emu. I was nervous but it really wasn’t that scary once I fed one of them. I would recommend if already in the area. They open up early so it was our last thing to do when we left Solvang on our way to the next destination.
