Skiers and Climbers Go Here! This is a real-deal ski shop with staff interested in you having a great experience on the mountain and loving skiing, climbing, and outdoor adventure as much as they do. Matt and his team truly stand out as exceptionally knowledgeable staff who have tested their products. They will fit you with gear specific to you and your needs. A few injuries made me think I had to hang up the skis for good, but I was fitted with amazing new ski boots and custom liners that Matt adapted for my foot and skiing style. They feel practically like slippers, and I am back on the slopes pain-free. The staff greet nearly every customer by name and KNOW THEIR STUFF. Climbers - they are here for you, too, and all your climbing gear needs. To top it off, the shop is aesthetically gorgeous, impeccably clean, and attentive to many details. The products are creatively and artfully displayed, and you will leave with many new purchases of cozy mountain gear or gadgets to add to your outdoor experience. I cannot recommend this place enough and have been back many times since discovering it. So glad the CT shoreline has a ski and climb shop of this caliber now!

Maia was awesome helping me pick out new snowboard boots and found me a great deal on snow pants I needed last minute! Love the attention to the customer and the fact it feels like a family type environment inside. We also had our boards waxed and tuned and were happy to use them on the mountain! Cannot recommend this place more!

I found the shop when looking for a tune up, and am super glad I did. The staff did an incredible job with my ski’s, and taught me a great deal about my own gear when I asked. If you're looking for ski gear but aren't sure exactly what is the right equipment for you, head to Mountain Expedition Supply. Incredible personalized customer service, very deep knowledge of skiing and equipment, and lots of attention devoted to finding exactly the right gear for what I need.

I needed a new pair of all-mountain skis for this winter and wandered into Mountain Expedition Supply last month, and I feel very lucky to have found this shop.

Matt, the owner and manager, is a retired firefighter and opened Mountain Expedition Supply this summer because of his passion for skiing and the outdoors. This dude loves skiing, loves talking about skiing, and loves helping people find the right gear to have fun and be safe on the slopes. He's a certified boot-fitter - if you need ski boots (well-fitting boots are the most important piece of ski gear you can own!), Matt can help you find the perfect boots with the perfect fit.

I told Matt generally what I wanted from a new pair of skis, and he asked me about my personal skiing style, level of experience, and preferred terrain - I'm a 6-foot, 200lb guy and wanted a pair of skis that would be fun to thrash around in powder, trees, and steep slopes out West, but could hold an edge on resort groomers too. Matt pointed me toward a versatile pair that he skied and loved - Atomic Bent Chestler 100s (he had a new pair in stock that he'd bought for himself and hadn't planned to sell!) - and recommended a few other models for me to research on my own.

I did my homework and decided that the Bent 100s Matt had shown me were the perfect skis, and decided to head back in and buy them. I decided that I wanted a pair that I could eventually take skinning uphill, so (after a long talk about how I wanted the skis to feel for the right balance of fun and finesse), Matt mounted a pair of Shift bindings on the skis. He was able to give me an incredible deal on the skis and bindings as an off-season package, and he threw in some free maintenance on my boots.

The craziest part - because I was the first ski sale out of his new shop, Matt gave me a pair of skiblades (!!!) that he had laying around, and just asked that I have fun with them and pay it forward. Wild.

I hope that Mountain Expedition Supply is around for many years to come, because it's hard to find a shop with this level of knowledge and experience to help put people in the right gear for them and improve their game on the slopes.
