Today I purchased a pair of Toteme shoes I'd been eyeing online but was waiting to see in person. I wasn't expecting to find them today, but I walked into Mohawk General Store on a whim, and there they were! I've only shopped here twice, but both times I've really enjoyed my experience. It's a very "cool" shop, but as a relatively uncool gal who just has very particular taste, I've felt welcome in a way that isn't always the case at high end womenswear boutiques. Good vibes all around! And I love my new shoes.

Hey Kevin/Bo, you have great stuff but your women’s store staff is/has been garbage. Had such a weird and combative interaction with two of your staff AFTER spending money in store (I wasn’t even being rude). I honestly don’t even want to outline the experience line by line, because as an independent retailer, why would you care when the moneys already in your bank account and paying off that big house.

People reading this review - I’m truly not hating. This negative experience has me writing a google review for the FIRST time. At the minimum, if you go to the store, try on in store and then buy it online. No wonder brick and mortars are closing. Who wants to spend money and have to deal with these people.

Buyers beware! Shocking service. At till I changed my mind on quantity, rude server said their policy was no refunds - they hadn’t even put the item in the bag yet. Also alot of the stock is old sale stock (last season dries for example) which is on sale online for a fraction of cost. Even at non sale value at least a 30% markup. Buying lame and predictable too. Don’t see this place lasting

Arbitrary and super short return policy, designed to screw over the customer. They don’t specify at time of purchase that you have SEVEN DAYS and expect you to read a placard behind their computer or fine print on your receipt.
Snotty, rude staff. Expect more from a place that was once cool and inclusive. The small woman in the pink jacket in the womens store was maddeningly rude and snotty. Should have heeded the other reviews and avoided this formerly great place. Interaction left me angry, and regretful I spent money there.

This comment comes from someone working in the fashion and luxury industry for over 15 years worldwide. The respect of your customers is number one. This place, the men’s store, most of their employees unfortunalty have none. Period. Not surprised by all the comments mentioning the exact same thing…. Beside not overcharging for pieces you can find HALF the price in 2 clicks, what they could do to stop losing customers, is fixing their employee’s attitude. I gave this place some money in the past, but they got the last bit of it… they should mind who they hire a bit more. Sheesh
