I had another shop on the Peninsula press bushings back into a motorcycle swingarm, and they apparently did not support the area correctly and bent the pivot points, basically rendering the swingarm useless. In an effort to save the swingarm, I google searched and found Modesto Machine Works. I showed up unannounced, with swingarm in hand. Jeff didn't make promises, but agreed to take a shot at straightening the swingarm. I asked for a rush on it, Jeff agreed, and 2 days later Jeff saved the swingarm, a HUGE relief! THANK YOU SO MUCH! It's tough enough to find parts for this bike, and replacing this swingarm would have been a difficult!

They are a business that is needed but there are just a few left. Needed some bearings and races pressed and had a hard time finding somewhere to have it done. Being that I work at JS WEST and we have been in Modesto since 1904 a long time employee said to try them since they been around a long time.
They where great I would recommend them to anyone looking for a good Machine Shop.
