I recently called simply to ask a question about there rum when I saw it again in a whole foods. I haven't shopped there for a long time, so it was a great surprise to find it. Abe was put on the phone, and what a great guy! He answered all the questions and even then some.

For their spirits, I've been a fan of their rum for a while, it was just difficult for me to get ahold of. It has a very, very small amount of caramelized sugar added after distillation, and I'm normally a purist when it comes to my rum. He also mentioned they had a vodka that was MADE from sugar cane, which happened to be there too. All in all, I walked away with three bottles, expecting not to get any.

Went in to get some merchandise and met Abe the owner and chief distiller — It was cool to see the huge stills which reminded me of something from a blade runner movie. Abe used to work as a chemist — what a great lateral move. If you want a unique Humboldt gift get the hemp infused vodka.
