En Garde Winery is a hidden gem in the heart of Sonoma Valley. It s a family-owned and operated winery focuses on producing high-quality, small-lot Napa Cabernet Sauvignons and RRV Pinot Noirs. We truly enjoyed the personal and exquisite tasting with the winemaker, Csaba. And we loved the wines. The delicious 99 point Cab Sauvignon Touche, is a rare find in the area. Also loved the port, named after the winemaker's Mom. We will be back!

Amazing experience. You can honestly go in and buy everything down the tasting menu. Paul is one of the best hosts we've had at any winery. I'd suggest picking up a bottle of Touche at the very least, but Paul can guide you through whatever you're looking for.

Fantastic micro-production winery - enjoyed every wine we tried during our visit. Small, relaxed tasting room with fun and comfy couches.

Jay was an incredibly friendly and knowledgable host - we really enjoyed talking with him about the wines and history of the winery.

As for the wines: elegant, poised Pinot Noirs, 2016 Sonoma Coast and 2014 Starkey Hill were two standouts, and really delicious rich and fragrant, but balanced Diamond Mountain cabs.

Pricing is on the higher end, arguably a little too high for their library cabs, but dedication and quality in winemaking process shines through the wines.

Highly recommend - En Garde are receiving some fantastic coverage/ratings in wine press right now so visit while the wine is still readily available!

We had the pleasure of having the winemaker serve us today and it was a great experience. He definitely loves what he does and is passionate about his wine. Everything we tried was absolutely amazing but the Tempranillo was the absolute best and also such a great price! Definitely stop in here to relax or to find some new wines for your collection.

We didn't have a bad experience anywhere in Sonoma, but En Garde was the best, by far! Felicia greeted us and started us off with our tasting, everything was fantastic! But the best part was having Csaba, the winemaker himself, step in to tell us so much about many of his fantastic wines. We will certainly return to Sonoma Valley and En Garde will be a central part of that trip!

We visited En Garde while visiting Glen Ellen during a quick weekend getaway. The place is small, it feels like you’re sitting in your living room. Paul was a lot of fun to hang out with. The wines were really, really good. It’s not a fancy place, but we’ll worth the atop.
