Awful experience. One star is too high of a rating for the Fallbrook CubeSmart. I feel stupid for staying a customer for as long as I did…

The facilities are laughable. The units are rat infested and highly in disrepair.

There is no security, the locked gate can be easily bi-passed, (seen multiple people enter behind another vehicle who entered a gate code)...the fences in the back by the putrid sewer smell are easily climbable. I’ve even seen people sleeping in their vehicles there at night.

Customer service is crappy.

And the prices they charge are sky high…my rent for a 10x20 unit went from $236/month in 2019 to $529/month in 2024…They more than doubled my rates!

AND AGAIN, THERE IS NO SECURITY…In early September 2024, someone (I think possibly an employee) cut off my lock, broke into my unit, and stole around $7500 worth of dress clothing, shoes, boots, sport jackets, high tech camping gear, snowboard jackets, electronics, and sports memorabilia. With everything I had STOLEN, nobody seemed to care…NO CUSTOMER SERVICE…I could not get ahold of the manager ever, they never answered the phone, and were never in the office during office hours when I stopped by to try to talk to someone. I left numerous messages, nobody ever called me back or messaged me…except of course to tell me that my rates were going to increase another $89/month in October (to add insult to injury)…

I would NEVER recommend CubeSmart to anyone I know (even people I do not like)

I emphatically implore anyone who might be thinking about renting a unit here to think again and try somewhere else. For example, Extra Space Storage a couple blocks away in Fallbrook is cleaner, more secure, better maintained, has better customer service, and is nearly half the price of CubeSmart.

This place is a scam the longer you stay the more they charge you. I got a unit 2 years ago for 267.00. I am now paying 487 for the same unit. I understand inflation. But go on there web site you can book a bigger size then mine for 287 right now. The district manager told me to book that one online and move all my stuff if I want that rate. Worse business ever.

This place is completely dishonest. If this were a different type of business they would never be allowed to raise rates for no reason. My rates went up 300 perfect with no justification.

Prices everywhere are rising. We wanted to upgrade our storage because 5x5 wasn't enough. We did some shopping around and found a competitor cheaper. We gave cubesmart the offer to come down to the price of their competitor to keep our business but they refused. IDK if the cube smart associate allowed his or her ego to take over but you aren't married to the company. Capitalism is capitalism and we gave you an opportunity. Oh well.

Service was helpful and cheerful. Aspen had a good attitude and knew her stuff. She clearly explained everything to me and conveniently had a lock I could purchase on-hand. The process was quick and easy. The pin number worked the first time and moving in and out was a smooth process. When I moved out of my unit, the process was very quick and easy with no hidden fees.
