Unloading went great! The team unloading me was on top of it! Friendly and helpful with all of my questions since it was my first time there.

Park in the dirt / gravel lot and walk to office across the street to check in.

You’ll be told to untarp (don’t untarp before you get the ok). Don’t unstrap. Once you get untarped, office guy comes to check out the load. He’ll tell you which bay to go to and how to get there. Might have to re strap to move to a second bay (just throw a few on, it’s less than a block away).

Once you’re unloaded, head back into office to get paperwork. Mine was already signed and ready to go when I got in there.

Never going there again. Guy working in bay 1 unloading has pretty bad attitude. Takes forevers to unload .. if you ask him how long its gonna take to unload, the answer is he start unloading other truck. And comes back after to work on your truck after an hour. Happened same with two flatbed guys in same bay

FCFS 5:00 Am to 12:00 pm Noon . Nice people working out here no issues at all friendly staff . Please note they don’t offload after 12:00 pm Noon . Lot of space to sleep overnight front of shipping office corner of Merriam Street and River street .😀

I do a ton of business with Chapin and they never disappoint. Doesn't matter if its a last minute order, they usually have everything where its suppose to be, when they say it will be there. And quite frankly that just doesn't happen that often in the construction field

Great for stock items. Bad for fabricated items. I recently purchased three fabricated items and two were out of spec. I tried contacting them and got nothing back from them. Never going to have this company fabricate anything for me in the future.

Top steel company in The north east to get your steel from whether it be bulk or single pieces. They even do a lot of different types of fabricating if you need that done to. Plus prices aren't bad and sales people are kind and courteous.
