The woman working there was so friendly. Said she's been there 40 years, helping out with the local church. We chatted her up for a while trying to understand the history of Bombay Beach.

They had everything you need, canned goods, beer, wine, and locally made art. My wife got some cool earrings for under 10 bucks.

No gas.

Avoid this place like. The plague!!!! Got a chicken there and gave me food poisoning!!
The owners are horrible people, the buy the stock with there food stamps and they triple the price, they also go to food banks get food ment for the poor and sell it.
CHECK ALL EXPIRATION DATES!!
In addition they buy cigarettes from the Indian casino and ILLEGALLY sell it in the store.
COMPLETE SCAM artists, they rip everyone off. Ps no license, and no insurance. They are operating 100% illegally.

It’s actually been reopened as the Chow Market. A great little local market with a nice selection of things you may need. They actually had some fresh fruits and vegetables as well which was a pleasant surprise! Definitely stop here and support the local economy when passing through.

I plan on visiting Bombay beach and slab city I have seen videos on YouTube and these places seem like a very tranquil experience
