Great selection of prime meats, fish, and poultry. The deli has some tasty salads and goodies as well. Market looks well kept and clean. Service is also a plus.
Replying to comment. I saw the bakery in the front of the store but was afraid to go closer. Will definitely shop there again and give myself plenty of time to go up and down the isles. Kudos to you and your team!

First time there today. Glad I found it! If you know excellent meat, you know.
I only grabbed some burger patties for a quick lunch and they were phenomenal. Friendly, knowledgeable and pretty damn straight and honest. You can feel the vibe here. I cannot wait to make the skewers I bought! Wish I took pics! Will next time

Stopped by for waygu, surprised to see they had some nice meaty oxtails too. We were able to get two cuts of American waygu and one A5 filet. We didn’t like the precut slices that were available and he was able to cut a fresh one as requested for 12 oz. Thanks so much! Definitely recommend coming here as it’s such a nice butcher shop and they have some beautifully organized produce.

Wow! I wanted to get some nice steak fillets for my family. I had never been to this butcher before this time. I was thrilled with the personal attention and later when we ate our steaks... they were probably the best steaks we had ever had.
OK seriously the best! My brother who likes his steak cooked a little more and then covers it in A-1 sauce ate this steak without any additional sauces AND he was the first one done. I thought that said a lot about the flavor!

I used to buy aged steaks here, today I got an aged ribeye steak and Ny. NY was good and ribeye didn’t look like aged, and tasted like regular ribeye, not aged. I expected paying $72 per stake get aged flavored one. My 1st time so disappointed of their meats.

Answering this comment from owner or manager, my price tag said DRY. And at the store steak was precut and with a tag DRY.

This reply is even more disappointing then my experience.

If you sold me wet instead of dry, it means cheating, cuz wet is normally chipper for 20-50%!!!

Alexander's Meats is a treasure--Whenever I have a special occasion, I go there to find just the right cut of meat--and they will actually do extra things like butterfly a leg of lamb. I love their quality. Alas, they are not inexpensive, but as the expression goes, "you get what you pay for." They have a wonderful selection not available many places on my side of LA (I live in Whittier). My only complaint is one they can't solve--it is a trek from Whittier!
