Provience Medical Building is extremely convenient, especially if you're able to set up an appointment. There is ample parking and curious staff.

On Dec 28th between 11a and 12p I checked in to the Mill Creek location. The providers were professional and fine, but the receptionist who checked me in was brash and loud. It took a very long time to update my insurance information. None of this is worth a negative review. I understand computer work takes time. My issue comes from the fact that despite spending so much time on it, I received a bill that indicated I had no insurance. Not that insurance denied my.clsim, but that I didn't have any. Which begs the question- was there a computer error, was there a user error, or was there malicious intent or laziness to provide a service to a trans person updating their name and sex? Regardless of the reason it needs to be addressed so others aren't overbilled while being insured.

First of all, let me say all the stuff I interacted with were professional and friendly.

The LabCorp facilities at this location are not fully equipped to handle lab tests for newborn infants. My newborn daughter is 4 days old and 3 weeks premature. For a bilirubin lab test, they drew an adult-sized 8.5 ml of blood when a newborn baby has 75 ml of blood on average. With the correct equipment it is easy, cheap, and instant to take a bilirubin test from an infant with a drop or two of blood. This location does not have that equipment, so I do not recommend this LabCorp location for parents looking for the right place to test their child. It's going to take our daughter weeks to recover from this. Please please please change your processes and fix this so it doesn't happen again to another poor child. I feel like our daughter will be fine even if she is even more sleepy than she was before, however overdrawing blood from infants is a common issue that does increase mortality.

Feel free to contact me with media inquiries. I will do anything to get the word out to change process documentation that unnecessarily harms infants and tells employees to commit medical malpractice. I don't want to see a reply to this review unless it's announcing that you've successfully changed your processes to prevent future "abuse by paperwork.”

First desk information today at 1230pm has a bad attitude. For “information” she couldn’t even guide me to where to go. I checked in at this same desk for our appointment this last Friday and was greeted kindly and wasn’t told this isn’t where you’d normally check in so I was confused. When I told her she didn’t need to be rude she said “well you should’ve read the sign.” Not a good fit for this building having pediatric services. Employees need to show more compassion.

My most recent visit with my regular doctor was to prepare for a trip to Africa. He prescribed malaria medication and wrote a letter needed for my visa application.
As usual, I was shown attentiveness and respect in a pleasant and timely manner.

Leaving a bad review specifically to bring light to their new (atrocious) front desk system that will (and does) leave patients with frusterating wait times and confusion in the name of cutting costs and efficiency. It is a glaring and example of how the large corporations that now run our medical system value profit over health and the patient experience. This is no mark against the staff, who try their best to make good of an unfortunate situation. Disappointed with my experience there today, and am sadly not expecting better in the future.

The front desk staff was polite and efficient, but my experience was not a positive one. I went to have my IUD removed, the provider I was scheduled to see let a student attempt the removal. The strings broke so I was told they had to do an ultrasound first ($640 copay!) and then reschedule with a doctor.
BTW I was asked permission for the student to be present and not to perform the procedure.
I made an appointment with Planned Parenthood instead, no IUD, local anesthesia and they solved the issue. For free.
Providence won't see me again.

I scheduled an appointment twice with providence and they were virtual appointments. The doctor nor the office sent the link. They also did not provide any contact information to ask someone to get the link.

The next time I scheduled my appointment, I took the initiative to call providence to verify the time and the fact that they would send a link. They verified all that on the phone and acted like I was stupid for even asking and following up. The next day they canceled it because they counted me as a no-show the other two times because THEY failed to send the right resources to the patients. Not to mention, every appointment is about 6-8 months out. You could be seriously ill and this establishment won't care.

Afterwards the office lady I spoke to about how I never received the right link wrote lies in the notes about me for the nod for to read. You are supposed to be helpers of the public. Not sadists out here acting like we owe you something when you are doing your jobs absolutely incorrectly from the start. Zero empathy, zero attention to patient care, and zero morals as a health establishment. Most Washington healthcare sucks, but this place is the worst.

Doctor: Jinhee Binder CMA was Angela K. Both health professionals need to have a more professional take on services going forward. I moved here from Georgia and this first experience in Washington state was horrendous. Be better.
