Great meat shop - all kinds of options and offerings. Lots of sauces, spices, ready made food, and frozen products. We love to swing Ottomanelli’s after we go to the local farmer’s market around the corner on Saturday mornings. We will regularly get their skirt steak, meatballs, chicken salad, and chicken cutlets. They also sell buns and breadcrumbs in case you need!

Very disappointed and ripped off. We pre-ordered a 3-lb center-cut beef tenderloin (chateaubriand) to make a Beef Wellington, paying $169.00 for the meat. When we got it home we discovered that 25% of the cut was tenderloin butt. We were charged expensive center-cut prices for meat that was not all center-cut!

We made it work, but it lowered the quality and presentation of our Wellington and threw off the cooking time. This is the kind of butchering and sales tactics I would expect from a lower-end butcher shop, not from a historically reputable butcher.

I've attached a couple of photos showing the splits, fat, and gristle that should never be in a chateaubriand.

After being ripped off like this I will never go back.

Ottomanelli Bros is arguably the best butcher shop in NYC, certainly a historical neighborhood staple. Don't be fooled by the no-frills appearance. From dry-aged beef to exotic meats, no matter what cut you're looking for, you'll have a hard time finding finer quality or a more knowledgeable staff.

My wife and I have relied on Ottomanili Bros. for over thirty years. Although, we relocated to lower Delaware in 2019, we have continued to order our meat from Frankie and his staff. We are very fortunate that they continue to ship their quality meat to us.

I ordered a Rack of Lamb for my Easter Sunday 🐣 Dinner. Drove all the way from Yonkers. I usually go to Ottomanelli on Bleeker Street in The West Village and now I know why I should have went back there. This location dressed it up nice and all that. I put it in the refrigerator until the next day to fund that I paid $169.00 for 40% Fat!!! It was a horrible cut, not trimmed of fat at all. A Sunday Dunner ruined...

I don’t look at their prices. I know I’m getting quality. Amazing ham, the best flank steak I’ve ever grilled on my Weber kettle. Try the packaged pastas and Alfredo sauce. I love the Italian old school music playing on the sound system. Check out the brass pig in front of the butchery. I walk from Columbus Avenue across Manhattan to get their quality goods.
