Ben is experienced, highly knowledgeable, fair, and honest. I brought my car and an aftermarket turbo kit that I purchased to him to install. He knew what all the parts were and made several recommendations to improve the kit provided. With each recommendation he gave me the full breakdown of why he recommended it, how much it would cost, and how much labor would be involved. He was able to answer all my questions and gave me everything I needed to make my decision.

During the install process we ran into a few issues that were coincidental and unrelated to the turbo install. Ben was able to diagnose them immediately and resolve them quickly. Some required ordering parts and Ben was able to get them within 1-2 days and fix them. Ben also went the extra mile and flushed my dirty break lines and checked my other fluids. Ben was highly communicative during the process and called me multiple times a day to keep me up to date.

After all the parts were installed he helped me work with the company I purchased the turbo from to tune the car and immediately addressed every coincidental issue that came up, including a completely unrelated issue with my fuel tank.

The primary reason I chose Ben over another mechanic is that he was truly excited to work on my car. He is passionate about cars and it shows in his work. He fabricated a few things for me in this build and even installed a new fuse for my gauges. I live out of state and when I’m in CT I’m an hour away, but I will happily come back every year to have Ben service my car. I can’t recommend him enough!

I originally came to Ben to try to address the drone in the aftermarket exhaust I had installed on my 2016 Lexus RC 350. While I had originally planned to try swapping out the resonators, he gave his honest impression of my setup and that I would probably need to do a lot of trial-and-error to try to compensate for significant fundamental flaws. He explained why he felt putting together a cat-back system from the ground up would be more effective at reaching my goals without pressuring me into a decision. As a non-expert, I really valued his taking the time to explain his rationale and plan, and this was a major contributor to my confidence in working with him. He was also highly flexible with me and despite some unforeseeable complications was able to get everything done on time.

In the end, the final product that incorporated both my suggestions and his expertise was absolutely perfect and has, without exaggeration, made me fall back in love with my car. Rather than a droney mess at cruise, especially with passengers, my car now sounds like the refined GT car it was designed to be.
