Don’t book with Poplens, they are a total scammer. They’ll take your money, show up and never deliver the services that you paid for. Take your money elsewhere. All the good reviews you see are from family and friends. I have been waiting for my photos and videos since October 2022, he keeps ignoring my calls and messages. Don’t be a victim.

This is going to be a long post. I want to also preface this review by letting whoever might be reading this that we decided to work with this photographer off of recommendation of a family member who vouched for his services...my husband and I were also very intentional with selecting black owned, and especially Caribbean owned businesses to work with where we could for our wedding and we were especially excited to work with this photographer as he met this criteria, and we were still met with such a terrible experience despite all these things. This may be one of the worst experiences I've had with a vendor ever in my life tbh. From the lack of professionalism, urgency, and just overall lack of customer service the treatment and lack of care that we've received from a vendor who has been FULLY paid for his services is ridiculous for a lack of better words. We contracted with his company for our wedding photography and videography, this took place in September of 2022, it's now August 2023 and we have not received 85% of the service/ materials we've already paid for. We've contacted his company several times during the course of the year and have been made promise after promise that we'll receive what's still owed but yet we're STILL waiting. Honestly we would never even hear from the photographer unless we reach out asking about the status of things. Of the few photos we've received digitally so far the quality is subpar and there is a serious lack of basic wedding moments captured. For example, there are zero photos taken of the bride and groom and their parents, only one shot of the bride/groom and wedding party, lack of shots of bridesmaids and brides getting ready for the ceremony, if it were not for the bride insisting on the day we would've missed shots of the first look between the father of bride and bride and tbh what was captured leaves alot to be desired. Just imagine opening your wedding photos which had to be mailed to you via USB months after you expected to receive them digitally because there was some Google photo mishap on the side of the company...only to find that you're looking at photos mostly of guests just randomly dancing at your reception. This just goes to show that there were issues with professionalism and organization even in the day of. There really was no reason why some of these basic moments which everyone looks to capture during a wedding were missed. Although I've already paid for the videography I'm nervous to even look at what's been produced for us in terms of the edited videos. This is of course if he still has the footage or has even captured the footage because it seems something is awry having had to wait almost a year and counting and seeing your photos being used as advertisment in your photographers social media to promote his business but you don't have the things you paid for, I mean this is seriously a joke.
Save your time and money it's seriously not worth it. Forget all the other 5star reviews these are likely from friends/supporters of this photographer and are not a true reflection of the service you'd receive. We're paying customers and we're being treated like we owe this business some kind of favor, I mean what's the point of even having a contract for people to sign if you can't deliver on the terms you've set as a business?

This photographer is very unprofessional & appears to be a scam. I paid in full for my photos and prints & it’s been 4 months now & I’m still waiting. Multiple calls & texts but he ignores them. Be warned, do not book, it’s a waste of time & $.
