From a European perspective, we had only seen Gospel Masses in movies. So, it was, of course, obligatory to attend one. We were not disappointed at all and had a perfect, enjoyable experience, getting a glimpse into the Mass. The individuals coordinating the Mass were extremely welcoming. The quality of the Mass was excellent, and the singers were simply marvelous.

However, it was disheartening that, despite the staff being extremely polite and treating tourists with friendliness, many tourists were so rude that they engaged in loud conversations, disrupting the Mass. Despite numerous polite requests from the staff, they couldn't show the necessary respect for the Mass.

Beautiful mass. Beautiful gospel. Entrance is from 119th St. Free, but you can leave a tribute in an envelope. The queue is large, but it goes very quickly. The balconies are for tourists, the main hall is for the faithful.

What a beautiful staff! They really now how to welcome people. From the im tire you enter the door you feel the love and care.
Just wish tourists could enjoy the service and be blessed.

One of the most welcoming Harlem Churches for international tourists and guests from around the world. Many come in for the song service, then leave, but many stay for prayer and are impacted by the preached message.

This is one of the best church I have been to in Harlem. The staff is very welcoming and you can tell they're used to have tourists there. The only thing I regrets is that despite of arriving early, we were put at the back. It's a shame because we came to see the service more than to get a "tourist " experience. The gospel is great I mean the music they're playing is really something else. Great if you want to see what a Sunday service looks like in Harlem but if you are a beloved and wants to have a Christian experience, i would suggest to look for a smaller church.
