I called J&M because they are a local owned business near me and needed my outside AC condenser cleaned out. I read that they use some kind of solution to do so and I didn’t want to attempt it myself. Heather answered the phone. I told Heather I need my outside condenser Ac cleaned it as it had dirt, hair and grass around it. She told me it would be $149 and scheduled me for two days later for the clean out.
Robbie showed up and tested the Ac unit and said it was at a 20 and should be much lower. He also tested the capacitor and said it was fine and the cleaning should bring the number down to what it needed to be at. He spent about 20 minutes cleaning the unit with my hose. He took the top off and sprayed water into it and all the debris came out.
When I went out after he did this he time me that I should purchase a device that helped the condenser start each time and also I should buy some other part that would help for a total of $600. My unit is fine and just needed a cleaning. , I have no issues with it. He said it was a small unit for the house 2.5 and did it cool enough and maybe I needed a bigger one. I explained the entire unit was just 2 years old and it keeps the house very nice. He went on to tell me he could give me $120 discount if I purchased those parts today. I again, declined. He sold me the maintenance package which was $199 for 2 check ups on the system a year. He told me that after the patio dried I should sweep up the huge mess that was left from what he sprayed out, took my payment, asked for a review and to please mention his name, Robbie when I did so.
The next day I went out and couldn’t believe the mess that was left. I never had this done before and didn’t know if this was what they did, sprayed it out and left the mess for $199. So I called the office to ask if that was the usual practice. Charity answered the phone. I explained to her that I had Robbie out and he cleaned the out the condenser and left all the debris and I was wondering if it was normal practice to leave the debris all over the patio. Charity said she didn’t understand and didn’t know what debris was. I said debris is trash and she then said everyone was at lunch but would have the service manager call me.
I never received a call from the service manager but Robbie did leave me a message the next day stating that he forgot about cleaning up after he was done but could come over and clean up the mess. I had already cleaned up the mess. It’s just another company that is out just to sale you things you don’t need and not to actually help. I won’t be calling them back and neither should you.

Great service! They had to come out to fix what the home warranty technician messed up by not purging the lines after the valve stem failed and added $1000 of 410A causing issues. So far the system is working perfectly since.

Today, Victor Corona was the J & M Air Conditioning and Heating technician who performed my AC’s scheduled winter maintenance. He showed up right on time, was friendly, courteous, professional and very pleasant to talk with. He cleaned the unit, put in a new filter, tested all the workings and later showed me pictures of the work he had done. Robbie, our technician was great. We had routine maintenance done on our furnace. He let us know when he was on his way, was super friendly when he got here, and was very thorough with the service. I love this company because they are not trying to upsell us and do the most expensive thing. They work to make things work without immediately going to the most expensive option.

Ryan showed up early and from the start was very friendly and reassuring. I mentioned the size AC unit I wanted to get and he told me that I didn't need such a large unit. Throughout the whole process Ryan was very upfront and honest about everything. I had Mr. Ruiz come to my home today and he did a great job. He showed me photos of problems with my current furnace and I have decided to buy a new one from his company. He was friendly, helpful and efficient. I was pleased that there was no charge even though he was here for a couple hours. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing furnace repair!
