Everything was perfect. My new shop is awesome. Exactly what I wanted. Cruz and his crew operated like a well oiled machine. You can tell that they’ve put up many, many of these buildings. 50x50, in my head seems like it would take at least a week to set up. The guys got here Tuesday morning 3/19, they finish by Thursday 3/21 end of day. Great quality building, great crew. Glad I picked Interstate Steel Structures.

I waited a while before posting my review because I wanted to give a true evaluation. My two stars and poor value is because I have to replace these, they don't keep the water out when it rains. I purchased three buildings 120 sq ft each in 2020. I will start with the good, they look nice and get plenty of compliments visually speaking. If they worked as good as they look it would be awesome. I give props to the installers; they were the best part of the experience (I wish I could remember the contractors name to give direct credit). They were efficient, professional, courteous, and worked well. His crew was customer conscious cleaning up after themselves, it was a two-day process when they were actually able to work. The company and its staff overall were professional and courteous. Now for the bad. First off when I contacted the Interstate Steel Structures Inc., they would not take my order, I was given an "Authorized Dealer" POC. Company said the dealer would come out to me and see what I wanted and if it could be done. The dealer ended up just being a middleman forwarding e-mails, never step foot on my property. After much back and forth I was finally put in contact with what the company called "an engineer". I had specifications and drawings tailored to what I wanted that I submitted to the engineer. That was a less than pleasant experience, the so-called engineer couldn't understand my simplified drawings and didn't understand my specifications. Again, the engineer turned out to be another middleman with e-mails. I ended up filling out all the forms and drawings, and I still didn't get what I requested. I wanted outswing doors and got inswing. Long story short if it doesn't rain the buildings work fine, they keep the sun out and I am able to use them as intended. However, when it rains these storage sheds are horrible and not worth the money, time, and effort. These are advertised and written up as car ports even though the company says they can be used for storage. I am sorely disappointed and am now looking to replace them. Every time it rains it leaks under the walls and through the roof. When there is humidity the roof drops condensation, so water ends up inside and on my stored equipment. I'm constantly cleaning up and drying off water.

I hired Interstate Steel Structures to design and build a steel 30x30 residential garage in southern California, they were able to assemble the building in about 13 hours; I feel this is part of the reason my building has problems.
After construction I picked up at least 100 of the self tapping screws used for assembly out of my yard.
The next day I noticed none of the windows or doors were sealed to the building, it took about a month to get them to send a crew out to correct the problem.
The biggest problem I have is leaks in the roof, because I live in southern California it doesn't rain much here; 1 month past the workmanship warranty expiration it finally rained enough for the leaks to really show, I had about 7 leaks that were great enough I had to move things around and put buckets down to catch the water coming in.
I had to hire a contractor to try to remedy the situation, this was partly successful.
When installing the roof sheet metal the metal shavings were allowed to stay between the rubber washer and the roof metal, allowing water to enter through the screw holes.
I would not recommend using this company for a building.

This company is very busy and the only one of its kind locally. They in installed my building, however the initial contract and purchase was with a 3rd party. After giving that third party my down payment, they lost my order and my down payment went into the abyss. It took over 5 months to get the building put up after I called the third party and raised hell. Once the building was up I had a leak in the shed area. They took care of that after a few visits. All in all it's a big project and alot is involved. If you order from this company you have to stay on them until they are on your property and the installation is complete. Service scheduling is a problem as well. Alot of phone tag and emails go on with the staff until you finally get someone that knows how to service the building properly and get the issue resolved. Me my roof leaked because rain water was backing up and staying on the roof. The installer forgot to snip the ends of the building roof so the water would drain off the roof properly. That held up my interior up grade for a few months.

I will not recommend Interstate Steel from CA to anyone!! Most rude people to deal with, appts reschedule everytime, never show up on time. Do not return your phone calls. Took 6 weeks for them to finish our carport. They didn't bring the trim with them the 1st time. Re-scheduled 3 times to get it on. Very poor business.

We recently had a 24x40 garage build by Mondo (PC #8) and his crew. Interstate steel structures was significantly better company than the one that built our previous shop. Not only were they on time, the cost was very affordable, the employees and salesman (Randy Glaser) were not only courteous, but efficient and fast. All our questions were answered, and they finished the project ahead of schedule. Our previous build took 14 months on the other company, this one (had it not been for County fire district issues to resolve), would have been completed in just a small fraction of that time. I can't say enough good things about this company. You won't be disappointed.

Worst company ever. I tore down my shed and had all my tools outside, preparing for their installers. Installer’s truck overheated on the way to my place and they could not install as promised. Next, the company refused to deliver to my home or perform the install since there is a steep, dirt driveway (which propane trucks, fire engines and every other truck can navigate without problem). I had to hire a separate company to transport the shed and then hire a separate company to install. Horrible communications and service.

Vinyl sheet fencing died. I have started to mitigate the costs of repairing and realized that any wood or vinyl replacement exceeds $400. The durability of that wood/vinyl project being questionable per se. Any strong wind or heavy rain will damage them quickly and they must be fixed again. I started looking for metalic supplies and realized steel sheets were the most viable option. Abigail and Gerard were super friendly and supportive. We estimated the cost of the materials, and it ended up about $313. They did all the custom cuts and delivered the sheets to my home within 10-12 days. Cuts and delivery were included in the price. It was an excellent quote, and I have decided to work with these guys on my project. As you can see, it was worth it. It was a very pleasant experience and the most suitable solution for my updated fence project.
