One of the best wine bars I’ve been to every wine was amazing organic bio, diverse, and didn’t give me a crazy headache

Amazing tasting at a good price, and great service! It was great to talk to the owner about his wines and the winery industry. I learned a lot and got to enjoy some delicious wines. No need to leave town too! I would highly recommend you check it out

A lovely winery! The owners are very committed to their values of creating an earth friendly winery. A nice no frills laid back experience, my dog was welcome, and we enjoyed some crackers, chocolates, and good conversation. Tasty wine too 🙂

HIGHLY RECOMMEND. The winemaker himself did our tasting and he was delightful. Loved the wine and loved his stories even more. You should ask him how he ended up in California. We bought two bottles and hope to come back for when his orange wine is ready to sell.

This place was a lot of fun! The winemaker himself served the wines to us and explained a little bit about their process (organic & biodynamic wine making), making it a very low-key and pleasant experience. The tasting was extremely affordable, and it could be done paired to some vegan chocolate tasting — which we did and enjoyed a lot as well!

It's a great place to meet locals, and it may feature good live music and dance classes on any given night. Unfortunately, there is no food, and the owners are hostile to non-drinkers. They offer good kombucha, but they don't really want anybody to order it because it sets a bad example for their business model.

This problem is endemic throughout a region where people have big investments in producing wine. It's a massive problem for vineyard owners because they are failing now to grow grapes at a profit (and are damaging the water supply with glyphosate and fertilizer). They must wish they had planted olive orchards that take forty years to become commercially viable.

As for BC's Middletown wine bar owners, I wish they'd get a permit to sell nutritious food. Then maybe they'd eat some themselves.

What a wonderful stop after driving over gorgeous Mt. St. Helena! There is an excellent crispness to the Sauvignon Blanc, and knowing it is organically and bio-dynamically grown enhances my experience of it immensely. The tasting room is very homey and comfortable, and Martin and Tara very affable and happy. This is a favorite!
