First time stopping in on our way in to California and such an amazing little place had to stop again on way home thanks to the best bartender ever Raul. He was super friendly kind and let us know about all the sweet deals and the delicious menudo they serve on Sunday so had to stop back in on way home for the service food and atmosphere. New tradition my husband and I will be doing stopping in on way to vacation and way back home ❤️

I got 29 REASONS YOU SHOULD VISIT! #1-29: This is FIREBIRDS Territory LOL. Jk, despite the constant advertising you've probably seen, it's hard to miss Coachella's Spotlight 29 Casino. It's a local favorite and it's easy to understand why. It's a very spacious location and there's great food and entertainment! I've been here for Firebirds watch parties at the large entertainment hall and had a great time! Spotlight's Taproom 29 is also home to watch parties if you're interested in any sports, craft beer and yummy food! There's also an Asian-inspired restaurant and a bar/sandwich shop. There's a good mix of patrons that come, lots of families visit for the food! Spotlight is right off the 10 freeway and easy to get to, there's plenty of parking out front. My only concern this time is that there was a smoke smell. It happens once in a while but I really don't care for it when I walk in and surprised with it. Most of the time I don't get a smoky scent, but be careful. Oh and the restrooms need to be a little cleaner, it’s not a major problem but they need to be checked on more.

Spacious gaming experience. There are several types of games, I prefer Keno. They have a section for Keno or you can play at the bars. The denominations range from a minimum of 5 cents - 40 cents, a quarter - 8 quarters, and $1 - $8 depending on where you play. Most people working on the floor are very friendly, I've only had bad experiences with beverage servers. Apart from gaming there are diverse options for eating. You can grab a sandwich to go or sit down and have lobster tails. The food at Taproom 28 is AMAZING! I had 2 lobster tails, veggies, and mashed potatoes. My daughter had the Shrimp Scampi Alfredo. Currently on Tuesdays lobster tail dinners are $24.95 but I'd order them again if it weren't on a Tuesday. Our server was extremely kind and the bar environment was not hostile. You can watch the various screens as you enjoy your meal or you can simply sit, enjoy your meal, and chat with your friends at the table. Come check it out!

Worst service i have ever had. Had to sit at the bar. The 2 worst bartenders ever. Said there was no Menudo but the bowls just kept coming out of the kitchen. Took them 10 minutes to acknowledge me sitting there. Then just kept walking by as I waited for the check. I've eaten here 50x and never had service like this. They need to get rid of those bartenders. Just horrible.

Really nice, updated casino from inside. Staff is super friendly, food is good, with large portions, inexpensive. One thing, the whole casino smells horrible, (cigarette smoke) you come out of that place smelling like an ashtray.

I would prefer that no one choose to come to this casino being that when the generators went out at one point in time I was not able to receive my money back from the machine all the while having to wait 3 hours and it's still not up and running and when trying to get information they were so overwhelmed they did not have anything together I'm a diabetic and due to my ability to not be able to stay longer than the 3 hours because there was no telling when the generators were going to kick start back up I had to leave into a pitch black dark garage where my car was parked and just overall I had the most horrible experience ever

Stopped in on a Saturday to watch a concert Ramon Ayala. The show tickets were priced reasonably the Concert was great Ramon is an excellent musician. The drink prices were also reasonably priced compared to other concerts and shows. Had dinner in the buffet although the buffet is not as big as other casinos the food was very good here. There was a band in the casino were we danced and had lots of fun. We did some gambling on the slots and actually came out $200 bucks ahead better than Vegas odds. We will be back again to this spotlight in the desert.
