My wife called in this morning to inquire about Christmas Trees. The lady who answered the phone could not have been more helpful......I apologize for forgetting her name. We told her we would immediately come up to take a look at the variety and found a gentleman to the right of the lumber yard who spent a considerable amount of time with us making sure we got the perfect tree. I then went in to pay for the tree and the same very kind lady who spoke with my wife on the phone was the cashier t the front desk. I told her we have always appreciated the service we have received at this particular store and would write a review.......which I seldom do. Thanks again to the helpful, hardware folks at Fallbrook Ace Hardware.

Friendly people but very uncompetitive pricing. I do not expect an Amazon but in some cases a 40% difference from even a HD or Lowes. It is a last resort place for me. Sorry as mentioned very nice people so not their fault....

Came in for a drywall repair kit, walked the store once and couldn’t figure out where it was, got distracted in one aisle, and luckily Mark came up and asked if I needed help, he walked me over to the drywall repair aisle and helped me find the best solution for the best price, which I really appreciated. Joan at check out was super sweet too. signed me up for the reward program and explained it very well. great experience.

My son went to the lumberyard because he needed a small piece of 2x4 and he found a piece of scrap lumber that he thought would work. It was a cut off piece of scrap lumber so they didn’t even charge him for it. He did end up buying some hardware that was needed for the project! Their customer service is outstanding!

Basically Fallbrooks version of Home Depot or Lowes, our local hardware store. Everytime I've been there the staff are known for being very helpful and friendly, they know their stuff. Prices have always been surprisingly reasonable for a smaller local store, and good selection.

I got a little bit of everything but it's kind of expensive the hardware department is the best anywhere ...Every kind of nut and bolt made in every kind of metal you can imagine . Just buy what you need. Single pieces for whole boxes

It’s not like it once was, when it was Joe’s. Now it’s hard to find someone and they’ll barely help if you can find them. Today I asked if they could send someone to plumbing. They replied, ‘there’s someone back there’…and there wasn’t.

When it was Joe’s there was help everywhere.

Update: adding a star because the store has really improved since it became a corporate store. The building has been nicely updated and the inventory beefed up. It’s awesome!

They generally have anything I need as a handyman. I’ve been pretty happy with the service until today. They sold my client a toilet seat with the bolts package missing. When I went back to ask for a package with the bolts, they would not help me and made me purchase a separate package of bolts. I understand it’s been past 30 days. I understand that the computer won’t let you do it blah blah blah. But in reality, a manager can override something like that. Ace went from five stars to three stars today. Ace put them selves first this time. Not the customer.

Also, i find the request to round up my change for charity every time I shop very bothersome. All that is as a tax write off for ace hardware. Sure a charity gets a little bit of money. But ultimately it’s about Ace Hardware saving money on their taxes.
