If I could give 0 stars I would. After losing a turbo pulling my camper just 2500 miles after installing my CTRX drop in turbos I call Comp to inquire about warranty and repair.

Right off the bat I'm met with attitude and lectured on how it must be my oil feeds, I starved it for oil, I surged it, I must make more power than stock - you name it, he blamed it.

I told him I disagree but I'll let him know for sure once the turbo is pulled, and voiced my irritation with him offering to do me a "favor" by rebuilding it for upwards of $700 - I could take it in to Industrial Injection and have it rebuilt with OEM parts for less than half of that.

I call them back today after getting the turbo out and inspecting it....none of the things he told me he thought would cause it are the case.

The compressor is fine with no contamination anywhere in the inlet or discharge.

Shaft spins smooth, no thrust play - the shaft literally snapped at the base where the turbine is welded to it. Clear part failure.

He then gets an attitude and tells me "so what do you want to do, you're past your warranty"

I said - well about that too - you told me the warranty is 18 months and it was 24 when I bought it. He says no its 18 - I said that's interesting because my warranty card says 24.

He says well even if it is 24 you're past that - I said right....now... but when I called you originally to tell you it failed and open a ticket I was within my warranty.

He says "it needs to be in my hand before that date, not calling me to let me know it happened".

Hiding behind the warranty in this situation is so chickenshit, why wont you just cover an obvious component failure? They've been installed 11 months and 2500 miles - the turbine ejected 200 miles into the first time towing with them.

He then gets upset and says "you want me to fix it now but yesterday you were gonna let someone else fix it? Why should I fix it for you boss man"

I said - my name isn't boss man, how about you start with stopping the disrespect.

These guy's are the best! I called and spoken with Ernie and he knew exactly what I was looking for, they rebuild my 1995 Mercedes S350 and they shipped it to me in less than 7 day's! First off. This is my 3rd set of comp turbos And they just keep getting better and better. I never had an issue. These things light fast and make great power. The oil less and waterless design is absolutely amazing Ernie at comp is extremely knowledgeable so if your on the fence and unsure what turbo you need for your application , I highly suggest you reach out and get all the answers you need ! GO COMP TURBO!!! Not only do I love Comp Turbo’s extremely high quality & track proven products, but man - their customer service absolutely KILLS the game! Buying a new turbo is a huge event for any car person. It’s honestly an investment. And just like any big investment, you want to make sure you invest with a company who’s going to have your back in any situation regarding the product. Well, let me tell you - My man Eddie at Comp Turbo is the best! He hooked me up with a 7275 for my Supra AND opened a dealer account for my shop which allowed me to spread the Comp Turbo love. I won’t mention other turbocharger companies but lets just say some of them are not so easy to work with. That is even if you can get in contact with them..But my man Eddie and the rest of the good people at Comp Turbo are always on the frontline ready to help out their consumers. They stand behind their product like no other company. And lets be honest, how many other turbocharger companies allow you to fully customize your turbo? Yeah, thats why I love Comp Turbo.

I had them rebuild the turbo for my Mercedes Sprinter van. It lasted 2000 miles before the bearing went bad causing the compressor to contact the housing. And sense I was broke down on the side of the road halfway across the country, trying to get any sort of warranty wasn’t an option.

Recently purchased a ctrx6262 stock frame for my evo 8 project and the team at
Comp turbo provided fast responses to questions I had before making my order, as well as updates throughout the build process. I was even more stoked that it came with the necessary crush washers to install my oem coolant and oil lines. The turbo was well packed and is available with a lot of custom color options as well as the bullet but for the compressor wheel which is an amazing addition for both looks and performance. Waiting on the machine shop for my block before I can get her on the road and tuned but so far it’s been amazing first impressions, definitely will be buying from comp again for projects down the road. Awesome team, with an amazing product at a great price point 10/10

Running a remote mount Oilless 2.0 Comp Turbo on my 2012 V6 Charger, am very happy with it. The support from Ernie has been great and he has helped iron out any problems very quickly. Will definitely use them again for my next boosted project!
