Great Community Theater...not a bad seat. The productions I've seen have been well done, well choreographed and great actors. They also sell snacks in the lobby at affordable prices. The volunteers, greeters, and ushers are very friendly.

If you're a person of color, please be very cautious of booking an event at this venue. We were subjected to some of the most outlandishly racist behavior I've ever come across. We were ambushed by 3 women an hour prior to our event ending, they rudely questioned us about what time we were leaving, and for whatever reason took several photos of the stained glass windows. To provide additional useful info, I think it should be known that you are not permitted to throw the garbage from your event in their trash can, you have to cart your own trash away (ridiculous.) I hope that *some* of the staff can lean to treat people from various backgrounds with respect and without suspicion (there was one member of the staff that was extremely helpful and welcoming) as we did to the beautiful venue. The venue itself is lovely, spacious, and gives an adorable vintage vibe.

We had our wedding reception at Point Loma Assembly, and the experience was amazing! The staff, especially Jody, were extremely friendly, hospitable, and accommodating throughout the entire planning and execution. The hall itself is adorable, cozy, and well-equipped with everything you'd need for a great event. We had about 80 people at our reception, and there was plenty of room for a DJ, dance floor, tables, a bar, a buffet table, a photo booth, and more! There are also 2 beautifully-remodeled bathrooms. Our guests had never heard of or seen PLA before, and they all left raving about it! This is such a hidden gem in San Diego. I highly recommend it for any event!

Great place for a meeting, concert or other performance. Well-located with convenient on-street parking in the neighborhood. Capacity is 120 people. Does not offer food service but does have a kitchen that groups can use to provide catered meals or other food brought in. Traditional design and architecture, with charming donated stained-glass window. Home of Point Loma Association.

Five stars for its historic factor! Five stars for the ambiance! I was here back in November 2018 for the Great War Gallop. It was an experience I can't forget figuratively stepping back in time. I did not know it had a significant historic role for our doughboys and the community during the Great War. Keep this building standing. Stop developers from taking away a piece of history.
