I contacted Matt with Finish Tech Construction when a very large tree branch fell through the roof of a cabin that has been in my family for 20 years.

Without hesitation Matt traveled back and forth many times to Pine Mountain Lake to complete all of the necessary emergency repairs/cleanup. Including a trip where he dropped everything so he could double secure the roof from collapsing due to heavy snow. His work ethic and loyalty has put my whole family at ease.

Matt has superseded our expectations with his ability of great craftsmanship and his attention to detail. He has worked countless hours making sure all angles will be covered for the reconstruction that he will be handling. Matt has had flawless communication since day one keeping everyone updated on what’s next.

Matt is very knowledgeable and his work is impeccable. My family and I feel very fortunate knowing that with Matt doing the job every last detail will be to perfection.

Matt was phenomenal and literally saved the day with some last minute yet very crucial finish work. I consider myself to be extremely handy but our house has various elements of interior texture finishes that were beyond my skills. I had a section in the dining room where we demolished an existing pony wall. This left an odd shaped cut out in the drywall. In addition to this area we had a large drywall patch in the family room wall around an existing outlet. The other main area was in one of the bedrooms where I had to demolish a large amount of drywall to replace floor joists, subfloor, studs and sill plates around windows and in the walls. Matt also worked on both the master bath and hallway bathroom texture/finish. In the hallway bathroom we removed the 70's fluorescent light ballasts and Matt boxed in and re-textured the coffered recessed ceiling. The master bath took the most work since Matt re-surfaced and re-textured all of the walls and ceiling since they literally were peeled back to the original drywall paper. He also performed his magic in the original recessed lighting section after the fluorescent lights and ballasts were removed.

Patching the damaged drywall and taping/sealing the joints was not easy, but the true art was that all of these large drywall replacement sections had to be properly textured. The house texture was knockdown skip trowel with obvious wear and coats of paint over the years making the knockdown less pronounced. The art in his repairs was not only matching the knockdown skip trowel currently there but also blending it appropriately so that the patches and repairs were not noticeable. Matt knocked this out of the park and unless I showed you before pictures you would never know where the work was done!

He was on time (not common in the construction industry), finished on schedule and provided me with a great price. Beyond that he delivered beyond my expectations to a customer who holds high standards in quality and craftsmanship.

Thanks Matt for making it look easy and providing exceptional service!
