Came here because CO Lumber is closed on Sundays. I was surprised at the selection of exotic woods they had available, and better prices than I assumed I would find. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

It kills me giving a Woodcraft such a bad score. But my experience was quite poor at this location in Colorado Springs. And after it, I will not be returning to this store. I will go to the one in Loveland or Denver. Wife had a class at the quilting store next door, which I needed some poplar since ran out for a project. Much of the dimensional boards had bark on one edge corner (not entire edge). And many had huge knots and holes in the boards. Really overall shock since the normal Woodcraft locations always have better quality wood than the box stores, while to much of these was what I expect or worst than the box stores. Then being at the store for 40 minutes, not a single employee said hello or offer help. They just stood behind the counter doing nothing. Which honestly, normally the employees at other Woodcrafts are little too helpful. Then after finding something that worked for what I needed and getting some supplies I needed, the employee at the counter really was not friendly and did not seem like wanted to be there. I went out to sit to wait for my wife. Which then the worst part is some customer that I'm guessing was there for a class stormed out and smoking like crazy no more than five feet from the door. Causing me to have a bad asthma attack which took days to recover from. He went back in to the store. Which the employees did not care that people were violating regulations right outside the door and blocking entrance into the store. I've never ran into such poor experience at a Woodcraft in the 30+ years of going to the stores.

I came into the store to pick up a countersink bit set and a tool to make a large circle for an end table. The staff greeted me as I came into the store. They directed me to the area of the store where I could find the items I was looking for. The staff let me browse and where available and easy to find and very approachable to ask questions and helpful. The staff member made recommendations on items and showed me items that I didn't think of using . I need to get the correct items that I need. The staff was very honest when I asked a question about epoxy he showed me what they had and when I asked a question that the staff member was unsure of he was honest and said I haven't had much personal experience with epoxy pours or builds. He did look at the products that they had available to assist me with get the correct product. He also let me know if I wanted to. Come back talk with a certain team member that had more experience with epoxy it may be able to direct me better with what I all need to do an epoxy pour. I really enjoy and appreciate the staff experience at the store. I picked up a list of classes that are being taught at the store and look forward to attending in the future. I'm glad I have found the store and will be coming for most of my wood working tools and supplies.

Just showed up a few minutes before close to see if they had a router part. Door was locked before 5, middle aged employee with salt/pepper beard unlocked it and begrudgingly asked what I wanted. I just needed a quick 1/2" router collet and he proceeded to argue with me about the size I needed, cursed at me, and then told me he didn't have what I needed. Now I love this store, but the AUDACITY of this employee to curse at me at the end of the day just because he's had a bad day....man. he needs to be fired. Unacceptable.

I rolled into Woodcraft looking to grab up some special wood (shedua) and a few bits of hardware for a project I'm starting. The employees there didn't crowd me at all, but they made sure they were near at hand in case I had any questions. In the end, I did. I needed some advice on specific hardware to connect corners in a specific way. I turned to a nearby employee and asked him to come over. When I engaged him, he was super friendly. He not only answered my questions, but he also presented me with an alternative that was more effective and about the same price.

My husband and I went in today and it was like no other store in Colorado Springs we’ve ever been to. Everyone was so polite and kind; gave us small town vibes all the way. Very helpful and pleasant people. Super excited to find out there was a woodcraft store in town. Now I can stop ordering online when I need the supplies I’m looking for! I will definitely be back 🙂

Going in with a partial idea of what I wanted and only semi prepared to tackle a project; the guys in the store were super knowledgeable and helpful. Guided towards wood species selection and the best finish option. I told Andree I was putting my trust in him and the results did not disappoint.
