I recently had an advisory email from WM, Chico saying that one or more of my bins were contaminated. A more detailed explanation would be greatly appreciated, like which bin of the 3 and at least a hint of what I put in there that was not in compliance. Also and more importantly how about a link to a list of what is accepted and what is prohibited....

First, I notified WM on June 26 that my recycling bin was damaged and needed to be replaced. I left the bin on the curb. It was never picked up. I was told they came by but the bin was not at curbside. I can guarantee it was—for 6 weeks. I checked my status on line—which says the bin was “lost or stolen”. I finally put it back in my garage—where it still remains. After 3 months and many requests, I finally got a new bin.
Second, the pick-up crews usually do not replace the bins in upright position. They are usually lying on their sides in the street. I am a senior citizen with severe arthritis, so getting the bins upright is difficult and painful. Perhaps the crew could be given training or a reminder to return bins to the upright position.

they have been picking up the trash and the recycling and the yard waste for 26 years now and generally I don't have a problem with them.

I gave it a three because they didn't give me an option to give them a rating for Recently. overall there are A four at Best because they now have moved their local customer service to a centralized location. I used to be able to talk to people who actually lived in my town about five years ago.

I had both Yard waste bins out on the street about a month ago. They weren't picked up nor were my neighbors immediately next to me but the rest of the street yes. So I left the bins out for the next pick up, no big deal but they were full.
Well, for the second Week they were not picked up either, and I started to wonder did I pay my bill and yes I had paid my bill.

So when the recycling truck came by I stopped the guy and he said it was he who had picked up the yard waste earlier in the day. I told him exactly what I just mentioned and he said you must've forgotten to put the bin out, because I pick up every bin that's out regardless of whether you've paid or regardless of anything. And I said well you need to send somebody over because he didn't get picked up nor did my neighbors.

3rd week picked up, finally.

I'm on a very small tight income.....I've tried to do a 2 payment because your rates are quite high for me but have been told that's not possible so I struggle....seriously struggle to make 1 full payment which is always at the expense of groceries....I wish you were more flexible.

We have a commercial account. The communication and pickup employee are great. Good luck trying to change your service though! Super easy to order additional units but to curtail those, say for a seasonal business is terrible. being on the call for 36 minutes and being put on hold 11 times is unacceptable. We have no choice to shift our service in our county.

Go up
