*Update 9/7/24*
It's too bad there isn't an option for zero stars. Here I am again, this time trying to find out how to STOP water service. If Westminster Water Dept were a business, they'd be bankrupt. I don't understand why they make things so difficult for people. Even Xcel allows me to transfer service online. This utility is pathetic.

I doubt anyone at the department even reads these reviews. They've been getting one star reviews for years now. So, no desire to improve. Well, I'm about to add to their collection.

I'm going to be moving to Westminster in a couple of weeks and need to set up new water service. I've scoured the city's site and can't find anything about doing it online. Westminster needs to get into the 21st century. I can move and set up new service on all my other utilities except water service. Like I don't have enough to worry about with the move...

Now I know why their rating is so abysmal.

The payment website is terrible and works about 5% of the time. Their app is no better. I’m about to revert to mailing in checks again or doing this over the phone. It just isn’t that hard to run a functioning payment website.

Haven’t even been able to begin using this company. I’m a new tenant and they said that in order for me to receive the bills in my name, the owner or property manager has to fill out an online form. Well, the property manager filled out the form on Thursday and submitted it. I called yesterday to get account information for billing and they said they have no record of the form. I contacted my property manager and asked him to resubmit, so he did yesterday. I called today to confirm and they said they had no record of it. I told them that he submitted it twice and asked if they had an issue with their online system and the woman answering had a rude, condescending tone and blamed it on my PM’s ability to submit an online form. I then asked if he could call directly to get it set up and they said no because they need a “paper trail”. THEN WHY DOESN’T YOUR FORM WORK?

Absolutely awful service. My water pressure drops to the point that my toilets barely flush, my dishwasher does not wash dishes, and my showers are barely a dribble. The city came out and said my PSI was way below what it was supposed to be, it's supposed to be around 75 to 80. Mine was 60. The tech that came out, armando, committed to following up with me within a few days after he looked into things since he couldn't figure out what was wrong. He said he would check with my neighbors and call me back. A week went by with nothing so I called the city again. The next tech, ronnie, never even came to my house but instead called me and said I think your PSI is fine it's 60, I don't know what you want me to do. Perhaps when you make a commitment to follow up, do it! That would be a start. He told me that my pressure was fine without ever even coming to my house. I now have to replace all of my shower heads because I have a dribble coming out. The service is absolutely awful, they don't do it they're supposed to do, yet continue to raise rates and tell us that we should just be happy we have water at all. Absolutely pathetic.

The staff here are very helpful and kind. I had no running water at my house the morning after the “arctic blast” of 12/21/2022. I called and spoke to Jim who was very helpful. He called me back to follow up on the issue and also had a field rep stop by my house. Trevor stopped by my house to confirm the water line, meter, and water line in my house were ok. It was -11 outside during that time. I am grateful for them and the department for their time, help and attention.

Have been in my home for over 25 years, always paid my bill. They turned off my water without even a courtesy call or having the technician ring the doorbell. I called and the check number I sent, they said they never received. So of course, I paid over the phone. What a hassle. Wished I could give them a big fat ZERO rating!!

I am 72 yrs. Old and deliver groceries for extra money. Today I was to deliver groceries to 81st. and Green Ct. Unknown to me there was a water main break and the whole dead end street was shut down. I gathered up my five heavy bags and started off walking. All of a sudden a tall, very handsome young man darted out from the workers and grabbed all the groceries from me and carried them to the house I was delivering to. I was very thankful and that really impressed me. CHIVALRY IS NOT DEAD! Many thanks. I wish I had gotten the young man's name.

Terrible customer service! The left hand does not talk to the right hand! I have been on auto billing for 6 years! Today they shut my water off and tell me I have never been set up on auto billing.....really. No phone calls to say I am past due. They just come by and shut it off with no notice. Terrible!
