The visit itself was fine, as it was a routine visit to establish with a GI doctor. However, the three star rating comes from my encounter with the medical assistant during the visit. The computers were down (this is not a big deal), and the MA wrote down on my intake forms some questions about my gender and sexual orientation. I am happy to answer these questions, but she kept saying “I’m not used to these things” and “these things are new for me” when I explained that I am transgender. She acted as though she was very uncomfortable, which also made me feel uncomfortable with my visit. It made me feel invalidated. I am also a healthcare professional, and I explained that I am happy to educate other people. However, I feel like some cultural competency needs to be enforced, as well as some additional education about people who are transgender or gender nonconforming.

Wasted my time and copay. I waited 6 months to get help with my digestive issues, and received zero. If scheduling a colonoscopy was the only reason for my appointment, then why didn't my primary care dr. Just do it 6 months ago?

I am so impressed with the team here. Everyone is so responsive, attentive, caring, professional, thorough and just top notch. I was seen by Vera and she was very thorough and got me in right away with an Endoscopy with Dr. Leung at Federal Way and he is amazing and his team made me feel comfortable before and after the procedure. This practice runs so well, you would think they've been in practice for 100 years. I highly recommend them.

My first visit here was fine, but then a second visit to review test results that are negative? This is one of the many things wrong with our medical system in this country. Providers scheduling appointments that are unnecessary just to continue to keep the money flowing.

Was a good one top notch people I was. Skeptical at first I had started to think there wasn't any more Doctors that actually like their job anymore or do their job for that matter but this day cleared that up for me there is still some good Doctors out there that enjoy helping people and taking the time to listen to them and I haven't experience that in a long time just keeping it Real thank you so much
