I give more money to VPM than to Netflix or Hulu but their website continuously lock me out. They do not send an email to unlock the account. They need to improve for the modern age. Why give this money if I cannot stream their shows.

You HAVE to tour this place! Learn how educational and creative television comes to you. The best non commercial radio on the East Coast comes from here also. The tour guides are the best!

Very friendly and accommodating staff. My husband and I learned things and for to explore things we'd been curious about since childhood. Or service pup was able to join us on our adventure as well, and quickly became the main attraction for the staff as well. Loved this visit, and can't wait to attend events and more in the near future.

Considering this building went up in the 60s, it's in excellent condition. It looks small from the outside, but don't be fooled. The building has two studios, one of which is about the size of a gym, an atrium, two radio broadcast rooms, offices, and more. The staff is incredibly friendly, whether you are talking to the CEO, Curtis, or the woman at the front desk.

Enjoyed our visit to WCVE Studio B today. Attended a screening of American Experience: The Chinese exclusion act a documentary film by Rick Burns and Li-Shin Yu. The first broadcast will be October 11th 8pm on OTA ch57 WCVE TV.
We had a nice time enjoying light hors d'oeuvres and chatting with many of the people involved in bringing this widely overlooked historical and cultural information to our community after the screening.
WCVE studio staff are always friendly, welcoming representatives of the Richmond area and global community. Thank you for a nice event! 🙂

Worst engineered signal EVER. Signal drops from my Walkman even when I can *see* the tower! The internet feed drops out *often* and forces this hideous, overly long and repetitious never-changing advertisement every time! And when i call ... their answering machine drops the call! Apparently theyve abandoned broadcasting and it's all on auto pilot.

Public Broadcast, member supported public tv & radio, has provided entertainment, news, nature & creative arts programming during wartime, normal times & now reaching out to stabilize home life during COVID 19, an epidemic originating in China & spreading globally killing thousands of people including China's own citizens. Sesame Street's Elmo's World demonstrates how to use video visiting for kids & grandparents, or conferencing for adults via computer or tablet. Apps are available to download with names like Microsoft or Zoom that gives videoconferencing in a simple format. Be aware of security or privacy when using the internet. Military parents overseas & frozen in place due to COVID 19, are comforted knowing WCVE has their back & face for their kids. WCVE responded immediately when the pandemic, COVID 19, began killing thousands of Americans & vulnerable grandparents in retirement homes or nursing homes. Dense cities overlaid with public transit & shoulder to shoulder living are devastated with high kill rates. WCVE immediately produced episodes of Sesame Street to protect families & support mental stability in the community. Financial support of public broadcast, radio & tv, is crucial in society governed now by high fees for access & use of internet, television & telephone. WCVE hosts nature & family day at their studio. When COVID 19 eases, they will again be able to host family events. Support the programming that freely supports you.
