We are absolutely in LOVE with our van! We purchased our van as an empty cargo van (mid-roof, 148" wheel base, but NOT the extended length) and had Van Lab Durango build it out for us. The guys at Van Lab Durango involved us and listened to our requests every step of the way (and believe me, we were at their shop a few times per week!) From where to place and what kind of cabinetry to use, placement of toilet box, height of bed, color of fabric on the walls, which refrigerator to use, which lift kit to use, what roof rack, how many solar panels, ALL OF IT -- they were completely open to discussions! My husband and I (he is 64 and I'm 55) just spent 4 MONTHS in it while traveling through Mexico driving the crazy streets, sleeping on beaches, tucked away on quiet streets, in the middle of noisy towns, etc. Never were we uncomfortable. Never did it feel too small or cramped. It is so comfortable and well thought out that even during a week of rain we were happy to be in our little cacoon of this van. All throughout our travels in Mexico and the USA every person who looks in our van (especially people who are in their own vans -- really!) compliment ours and say what an incredible build we have. The guys at Van Lab Durango went far and above our expectations! If you're wondering which van it is on their website it's called the "Tardigrade" -- check it out!
