Vail Water company received my payment on August 5, 2024. I have my bank statement to prove it. Online statement says I have a zero balance. I get an email today with a disconnect statement. How can I pay when my balance account is showing a zero balanceTried to call office and leave a message, but mailbox is full. Not sure what is going on. Not good business.

Someone messed up today and sent me (and likely the entire customer list) a notice of water shut-off for August 12, 2024. I called the office, no answer, I'm guessing because they were inundated with phone calls. So I responded to the email, and just got a "Email Sent in Error" notice a few hours later. Logged onto the website just now and it says "PLEASE DISREGARD THE LAST EMAIL." Well, that is not helpful! What if someone is in jeopardy of having their water shut off? Should they "DISREGARD THE LAST EMAIL"? Horrible mistake and horrible follow up to correct the error.

Lived in Vail 8 years. Have never had a problem with service. We make sure our auto payments are set up and we have money in bank to pay bills. Vail is a small area and prices will naturally be a bit higher. If that's an issue then do your research bfr moving here. We have not had a problem with cost as we watch how much we use drip system and water overall.

They will definitely shut your water off, even when it’s over 100 degrees. That seems like a legal issue to me. Maybe I should ask a lawyer about that… They should at least give a courtesy call to say “we’re cutting off your water, would you like to make a payment to avoid the reconnection fee and possible heat-related injury to your pets and children?” But why offer basic customer service like that when you have the monopoly on water in the area?

They will turn your water off without notice even in the summer! I had a mix up with the bank and the payment was one day late. Make sure you check your account and that your payment processes because they will not call you if there is a problem.

Horrible service, glad I'm moving away from them. You call during normal business hours. Like 1:30 pm on a Tuesday. You get the option to be directed to the emergency after hours number or to call back during normal business hours. Since it is normal business hours and your not getting anyone, you try the EM line. That takes you to a voice mail box that is full and cannot accept messages at this time. All I want to do is disconnect service!!!!!! Can get through to anyone!!!!

They are EXTREMELY rude when you call in with a billing question. They are accusatory and do their best to be snippy, nasty, and inflammatory. They also use a company to send out their bills- and it sends them out late, repeatedly. I spoke with a manager and she wouldn't even apologize for the way her employee spoke to me! Unsatisfactory. Unacceptable. They also send bills out that are inaccurate. Which was the whole reason I called, to ensure I was paying the correct amount to them. Ridiculous.

Small for profit monopoly. Water rates jumped significant when I moved from Tucson to
vail. I use less water and pay about the same that I paid Tucson for trash, water, and sewer. Yes City of Tucson rolls all 3 into 1 Bill and provides services at far less. I think the nominal increase in taxes to have public owned utility would more than offset the savings in rates.
