United States Gypsum Co does a poor job of tarping and securing loads. They do not allow drivers on the loading floor, instead utilizing several of their own individuals to secure and tarp each load. They do a terrible job. My drivers have picked up at multiple locations, yielding the same result. Today, at the Sweetwater, TX location, the last pallets were not even secured. Thankfully, the driver found this prior to leaving the location and secured them. The tarp was also not secured properly and actually blew over the rear tail lights of the trailer, causing the driver to pull over to rearrange the tarp.

Today is the last time we pickup there, and I strongly suggest you do the same. It’s far too time consuming to correct their incompetence in freight securement and tarp securement. It’s not safe. Why they don’t allow the drivers to secure and tarp when the onus is on the driver and carrier during transport, I wonder. I don’t care what liability they are trying to avoid. It causes us carriers and drivers more headache than it’s worth.

Very rude and arrogant workers. They don't even wanna listen to the drivers how to arrange a load on a 53 foot long flatbed with spread axle. Now I'm probably overweight. Wasted over 3 hours to get loaded. Unbelievable
Update: also they ,,accidentally " forgot to give me back 6 corner protectors. I assumed all of them was under my straps but guess what a couple of straps was without corners. Of course I can't prove that because you can't go out to check the load. So drivers be careful and check your equipment.

This place is okay. Big time shipper with lots of loads, not a pull up and get loaded type of place. They got a crew who tarps.

But the main reason I am writing this review is to say that the long hair guy, thick brown beard, in charge of something, not sure what but anyways his name is John, I heard someone call him John, anyways, that guy is a good guy. He is humble and when he speaks he makes good points. This guy is a 10 out of 10 in professionalism.

3 May 2024...
Even though the website says 24 hours it doesn't apply to unloading and unloading it only applies to drop and hook loads ... on a separate note you must back down about 20 ft to tight loading dock with a awning over it that is narrow as you put down your landing gear why they unload your truck first time here last time here I don't care if the Lord text me home not coming back to this hell hole of an operation ... every job is important but every job and for everybody this delivery ain't for me find out for yourself hopefully you have a better experience ... don't forget the forfeiture Keys as you're sitting in heat while they unload our load you

Maybe my situation is unique but, I am giving this place a 4 star review. They have a good system. Checked in gave me a pager. 1st come first serve. A large bull pin staging area. Good signage.. They have a very nice break area. Only 1 dock so that does knock off a star but the people were friendly and they took me a day earlier than I was scheduled freeing me up to take an extra load for the week. I would haul to here again.

A circus no trucker would be interested in. They don't communicate with driver and load what they want and how they want, ignoring experience and equipment. They install tarps but the job needs to be redone, wasted 1 hour and half redoing it. Gladly I refused to give straps to them and did it the right way. Never coming back here. They don't allow you to stand on trailer. They have no staging area, appointment that makes no sense because everyone comes at once crowding the place...
Checked in 9:30 check out 15:20... Not worth it

All reviews are true. Appointments are irelevant. If you have a 10 AM appointment it does not mean you will get loaded at that time. It means they let you check-in at 10 and wait to be called. You can wait HOURS.
