Uch hospital charges you, then you receive a bill from uch physicians charging you the same coding, same date of service. I understand receiving the MRI charge and then a provider reading the MRI but I don't feel I should be charged twice for the ER visit both facility and provider. Which means you pa two bills for the same service . you might want to go some where else for services

Wasn’t really wanting to show up, but had been ordered by my Dr. for some imaging. I walked in and Doran (I think this is the right spelling) was sitting behind a desk with a giant smile on her face asked if I needed help.
That smile was both needed and contagious. She took care of getting me checked in and her overall demeanor put me at ease.
I am not just looking for an excuse to go back anytime soon, but glad to know if I do have to that there are great people there.

From the moment I walked in (and was greeted by a super cheerful emergency room admission specialist, then 3 amazing nurses named Katie, the excellent triage, doctor and surgeon and anesthesiologist and Trenton, who was the recovery floor head, nurse and the lovely young lady who was worried about my oxygen… )Seven hours was all it took for my appendicitis to be diagnosed and surgically handled and I am now back on my own couch. They made a disappointing and somewhat frightening experience (I have been blessed to never have required emergency intervention before ) as pleasant and easy as humanly possible. Although I hope never to need to go to an ER again… If I do… I wanted to be this one!

My wife became very sick suddenly late one evening when visiting the area. The UCHealth ER was the only open option otherwise we would have gone to an urgent care clinic. During the stay the staff were fairly kind and professional, however they were incredibly pushy after initial labs came back negative that she needed a CT with contrast. My father (a physician for the past 25+ years) felt this was unnecessary given the circumstances. We voiced this, but after much pressure and the medical staff insisting, we agreed. Their CT machine was down, and a mobile unit was outside, so they rolled my very sick wife into the below freezing air with a couple of blankets to do the scan. The scan did not give any results or indications to the cause of her condition.

Our insurance did not cover any fees/bills relating to the ER. After checking with a friend in billing at a hospital local to us, we found if the visit was local it would have costs around $3500-$4000, not including a 30% discount if paid in full. We were shocked when we received a nearly $7000 bill for the services. The addition of the CT scan bumped the visit to being coded as a "level 5" and jointly resulted in an approximately $3000 increase to our bill. Additionally, the documented reason for running the scan in her patient notes was not mentioned a single time during our visit.

After reviewing the itemized bill, we noticed that all of the items had pricing differences compared to the UCHealth pricing transparency page (every one of them in their favor). Some of these differences were for as much as $600. We were told essentially, that they were allowed to be wrong on this.

We continued to have issues with billing disputes, and even were promised a call back before the bill was posted as due on the account. That never happened, and the bill has been posted.

Long story short, unless you have awesome insurance that's in network with these folks, go somewhere else. Our experience and research showed that their pricing is higher than surrounding providers, their pricing transparency page is inaccurate, their billing disputes department communication is poor at best, and 9/10 phone calls that you make to them (billing coordinators, patient advocates, admin) will not be answered and you will have to leave a message.

Cataract surgery today. Plenty of parking including handicap. Although the parking lot was pretty full this morning. Handicap accessible entrance. The check-in process went smoothly, friendly helpful staff, even though my check-in was a training session for a new employee and the trainer. Clean comfortable lobby area. Plentiful easy to find restrooms. The nursing staff was exceptionally polite and helpful. The surgery was very professional with Dr Helm. Recommended facilities.

I recently had to undergo emergency orthopedic surgery at this facility. From the time I arrived, the staff moved quickly to treat my pain and ran tests to help me make informed decisions. It was an hour from ambulance arrival to surgery to fix my open fractures. My nurses and CNAs were quick to respond. The food was actually really good and I was able to order my meals for the next day. All of the doctors took their time with me during one of the scariest moments in my life.

I gave 4 stars because I did end up purchasing a different cast for my leg that had an air chamber. I think these type of casts should be standard because they insure a good fitting brace. Also, I needed to come back within 24 hours of discharge for pain management. BUT, the ER staff treated me immediately and gave me heated blankets to help get me comfortable.

They misdiagnosed me and convinced me that I had a LIFELONG illness that I ended up testing negative for (you can probably guess). The results took over a week and I cried every single day and thought my life would never be normal again. I ended up just having the FLU. Not the worst part though, after insurance, I am being charged almost $1300 for the office visit after telling me a I had a $0 copay. Do NOT come here. The mental anguish they put you through will make whatever medical issue you're experiencing seem like a cake walk. Kathryn Perkins, you're a horrible person and I hope this review unsettles you because it will be a fraction to how terrible you made me feel.

Very uneducated people. Billing was awful. They sent me to collections for 58.69 dollars after 30 days because I was away from home to my permanent residence. Staff was unaware of what was going on. Treatment was awful from the ER entrance. I do not recommend this facility at all.
