Ranger very knowledgeable and friendly. Unfortunately the elk herd wasn’t hanging around either time we stopped by but we enjoyed the lake, mountains and beauty. Restrooms were clean too.

We visited after Labor Day, so the visitor center wasn't open. Even so, a nice walk on short trails to the west gave lovely views + interpretive signs.

Lock is broken on at least one of the two vault toilets. Lots of people using them on a September weekday.
