I came to this location in 2011 to learn a trade, I learned to do everything from operating the vacuum sealer to breaking down whole carcasses and even how to tend the barn as well as compliance with federal inspection regulations in all areas however none of that mattered when it was time for my yearly review.
The plant supervisor told me despite all my hard work and dedication that I would never be a meat cutter/butcher. He complimented me on how much I stayed out of trouble and was one of his most dependable employees but still he felt that I didn't deserve it. When the owner showed up he always managed to leave without being introduced to one of his most dependable employees.
Strangely enough every meat department/butcher shop I've sought to get a job at since I left this company has refused me, the few that were willing would only let me work entry level tasks, several even chose to hire unexperienced people and taught them what they were aware I already knew but wouldn't have me as a meat cutter in their businesses. I have no tattoos or piercings plus I have no criminal record but I am of Jewish belief so maybe that's the problem!
I guess I shouldn't have came to this location, maybe I wouldn't have spent the following decade trying to make a living in this industry and halted at every opportunity I thought I had after this experience!

When I first walked in the doors the man on the right was asleep at his desk. He had no shoes on and his stained, hole filled socks were sticking out from under his desk. Once the man woke up he was very rude and you could hardly understand what he was saying. There were people in another office off to the side that never came out. They were talking loudly and poorly of another individual. Once I picked up my pork, I was missing 2 sides out of 6 and when I said something they acted like it didn't matter. My bacon wasn't weighed out right and I came home with someone elses sausage! T&E has taken a turn for the worst. I know there are limited processors in the area but if you can help it, don't take your animals here! Rude and very unprofessional!

Great cuts, great packaging and super friendly. This was our first time using T&E and what a pleasant surprise to see professional butchering. Far better than the local competitor. They made perfect cuts and made use of all they could from the hanging weight. See ya next year T&E!

We have had difficulty with T&E over the years, and it's getting worse, even as their prices go up and up. Packages are often not sealed properly. When they notice they messed one up, they DON'T fix it. They just shove the bad pack inside another pack and try to re-seal. That usually doesn't work, and either way we certainly can't take that messy, horrible looking double package to sell at a USDA store! It looks awful!

Ground beef is often discolored in many packs, with ice crystals everywhere.

If you try to discuss issues with staff, they are aggressively nonchalant to downright rude.

It's a shame to see a local place go downhill. I guess they don't have to address their quality issues because it's so hard to find other USDA butchers in the area. But eventually, there will be more USDA options. Also, people like us who want quality packaging are willing to drive further, so I'm concerned about them long-term. We go basically anywhere else now.

Nice enough folks to do business with, Mostly nice people to work with but there is a toxic environment where people tend to act like highschool kids instead of actual adults. Not to mention they teach to you things that are outside the guidelines of USDA but will throw you under the bus if you are the one caught doing it without ever truly teaching you the proper methods. Folks here will constantly whisper behind your back but hide face when you call them out on it.

I know one of the head inspectors and they they are highly recommended for their cleanliness. I have always had my stuff processed there and they do a great job. Meat looks good and it is seasoned good. The only two things I wish they would do different is make more flavors especially for the brats and change the way they do custom labels. Other company's do them for free or cheaper. Other than that they are great. Thanks Harvest Meadow Farm

Friendly efficient people. The meat we received was butchered well and packed perfectly. 5 out of seven stars for a perfect score. We will return. Especially nice at this time of the year.
