An absolute gem on the South Hill. Run by a husband and wife and their young children, Sweet Mercy is a prime example of community building, loving your neighbor, and stewarding the land well. Please note, they are not a large, commercial business…but a family working diligently to cultivate fresh veggies in the spring/summer/fall, delicious pastured eggs, turkeys for thanksgiving, and a host of other homemade items like pickles, honey, etc depending on the season and availability. Lucas is an ebullient and warm farmer while his hardworking wife Amber is self-effacing and quiet, yet always joyful. I’m excited to see them grow and transform along with their quickly sprouting family. [photo credit: my 5-year-old who stole my camera and decided to snap a few artistic shots from the car!]

We love this beautiful little farm!!! The family that owns and runs this farm is so sweet. The produce is amazing and the eggs are the best I have ever had. There is even a little play area for kiddos. Highly recommend checking it out!

Excellent high quality produce. Very frieieindly family farm. I have lived in this area for 50 years and I can say that there is something very special about the soil here. Nutrient dense, and packed with minerals adds an incredible value to the plants grown here. Highly recommend!

I stopped by to buy produce and ended up getting the BEST tomatoes from here! I randomly found this place on Google Maps and it was a great find. It's a small family farm with ducks and geese walking around. I showed up with a few folks with disabilities and the owner was so nice and welcoming. He let us hang around the yard and feed the ducks lettuce!
I highly recommend getting their bag of greens and whatever tomatoes they have available!!

Lucas and Amber at Sweet Mercy Farm are some of the kindest people on this planet! They love their children, animals, and customers, and tend the land with care and compassion. Visit for the most delicious pasture-raised eggs, organically-grown produce, and a little glimpse into the real-deal family farm.

The picture on the website of the sweet and welcoming family is the opposite of our experience. My family and I had high hopes of having an awesome experience prior to driving there. Unfortunately our experience has been beyond terrible. The female owner wasn’t welcoming. I felt as though I had inconvenienced her for stopping by there. If a business owner has nothing to offer to customers since it’s end of the season, please say so on your website that way it saves people a trip and most importantly saves people from experiencing your rude and disrespectful attitude. Business owners should be welcoming and go above and beyond no matter what day you’re having. I do.

Drove up yesterday with my mother, my wife and my son just to check it out. The woman at the stall was remarkably condescending towards my mother since we didn’t know much about farms and were informed that it was the end of the season and there was no produce. As a local farm, you’d think they’d be more welcoming and accepting of business and maybe take some time to be a little more informative.

Avoid at all costs.

Best eggs I’ve ever had! I ordered online and picked them up in the shed when ready. I plan to order more for sure, and would love to try their produce when winter is over
