Scott and Splice Welding & Design were introduced to us by a designer when my wife and I were remodeling our living room, including a fireplace update. Though our house is a mid 1920's Craftsman, we wanted to renew it with some modern, clean elements. Scott worked with us to design a fireplace casement and shelf system , and worked with the other members of the team to integrate into the larger design. His attention to detail and painstaking efforts to perform a perfect installation have produced a truly pleasing result.

Scott is fantastic to work with. I’ve seen photos of his stairways and straightforward work and they all look amazing, I was more interested in an artistic project for a new mantle. Scott designed and built an incredible mantle for us that was beyond our expectations. his install was on time and done, very well, can’t recommend him enough.

When I asked Scott to help me design what I thought would be a simple warming rack for my kitchen, I explained the practical need I had. But what he created and installed is a work of art! From the design of the brackets to the rivets to the shelf itself - I am blown away! Light from the hood (also covered by Scott’s handiwork) filters through the cut outs on the shelf and is the focal point of my kitchen. Call Scott, tell him what you need then leave him alone to ponder and create, he’s a genius!

My contractor introduced me to Scott. My renovation included a large component of custom metal work including cabinet and drawer pulls, shelves, a large metal hearth and fireplace doors, and mounting plates for sconces.
Scott is a true artist/craftsman. He conceived and designed, as well as faultlessly manufactured, a wide range of custom items, all on time and all on budget.
Scott continuously demonstrated flexibility and creativity as he was asked to do more and more work as the project morphed and grew.
He is meticulous in his work, not only making his products carefully but also respecting my home and overall project. He took great care to work in a way that he never impeded other work going on simultaneously, as well as always carefully working so as to not damage other surfaces. He often lent a hand when other workers needed help moving something, and he always cleaned up after himself, and often other workers. In short, he was a delight to have onsite, as well as being an incredible craftsman. I can recommend him without any hesitation.
