We had heard great things about this meat market, so we decided to place an order for a whole cow to split between three people. We ordered in early November, expecting a straightforward process. However, here we are at the end of February, and we still have not received our order.

Initially, they claimed the delays were due to the holidays, but after that, the excuses kept piling up. Every time we contacted them for an update, we were given a new reason for the delay, and each time, the timeline was pushed further back.

The lack of communication and the failure to fulfill the order is incredibly frustrating. We were excited to support a local business, but this experience has been nothing short of disappointing. If you're thinking about ordering a whole or half cow from here, I strongly suggest you reconsider.

I bought a prime rib roast& it was the best beef I've had in years. Tender, wonderful flavor & reasonably-priced. They are so friendly & cut the roast fresh right there for me. Store is very clean & the overall prices of all their products are very reasonable for the quality of the meats you're getting. Weather it be chicken, beef or pork. I will be getting all my meats from southington meat Co. From now on.

First time here and ordered an 8lb Prime Rib with bones cut and tied back. We cooked 10 min @ 450 then 350 for 2 hrs. Took it out and covered with foil for 30 min. My rub is stick of butter with garlic and other ingredients. The photos speak for themselves!

What a treasure in Southington! They gave me exactly what I needed. They helped me with grilling tips and the porterhouses they cut for me were FANTASTIC. Seriously the best steak I ever ate. You've made 10 carnivores very happy this weekend. Endless compliments 🙂 Thank you!

10/10 would recommend going here for your meat purchases. My husband and I never have good luck with steak at the grocrey stores so we thought we'd try out our local butcher. We were not disappointed! We had company coming so we bought 4 fillet minons and 2 chicken breasts for $57! The two breasts were massive and only $12. We got restaurant quality fillets for $45 or about $11.25 a person. The gentleman there wasn't kidding when we'd be able to taste the difference because we certainly could. As long as we live in CT we will be purchasing our meat here.

Also, the guy there was very knowledgeable and was a huge help!

Ordered a skin on pork belly Feb 2024 and made a porchetta with it. Even made my boss a sandwich and he still talks about it. Going to visit again!
