We were having an issue with our oil furnace. I called Rockingham Petroleum and a tech arrived the following day. Service tech Matt diagnosed and fixed the issue quickly. I am impressed with the quick and professional service. Highly recommend this company.

A few weeks ago we had a major issue with our AirBnB unit dropping down to 15% remaining in our tank. After roughly 10 calls to Amerigas (our former provider) and only being able to speak to employees in another country, we implored them to get propane to us. They failed in so many ways and we ran out of propane. We spent thousands moving our guests into another AirBnB then lost the next booking to boot.

Our handyman notified us that Southern States trucks were driving all over without issue. I immediately contacted Preston and was surprised we actually made contact with a local. He scheduled us the next day, his team showed up and filled us without issue.

THAT, is quality service!! We will be moving a second property over to Southern States as well as they have gone above and beyond for us. We HIGHLY recommend using Southern States as you'll have access to speak to someone locally who listens, responds and reliably provides.

I recently moved and needed to setup a new account for propane at my home. This company was very helpful with that. They also arrived on schedule and on time for the inspection and the delivery. The staff was friendly and communication was excellent.

I called early in the week for delivery, was assured I would get a delivery of propane before the end of week. Had not seen a driver by 4. Called for a update. Driver delivered propane to basye around 6;30. It was dark and cold but he delivered. Thank you so much for the great service.

Josh and Rockingham Petroleum really came through for me in an emergency. I'd never dealt with oil heat before, and I ended up running out right before a huge snow storm on the weekend. I called their answering service on Sunday and Josh immediately called back to set me up with a delivery for Tuesday morning. My furnace needed to be reset since it had run out of fuel and had air in the line. Josh sent out an awesome technician named Bryan that got me up and running.

Excellent communication throughout the entire ordeal. Could not ask for better customer service.

Preston at Southern states Rockingham petroleum is the best when it comes to liquid propane. Need 120 gallon tank or 500 gal tank he has you covered. Best customer service to.

EDIT: Jan 2025. Daughter in law texted saying she smelled propane from out non vented inside propane fireplace. I called Southern States and Preston felt it important to have it checked out.Today. Tony arrived and did the testing and found no leak. Tony has been here before and is always very courteous and respectful. I'd rather err on the side of caution so this call was made..................... First review: First off. The 4-stars has nothing to do with our service tech, Cody. Cody was not only exceptionally respectful and friendly he explained everything he was doing. Almost to the point where I joked that he was starting to speak a foreign language to me. Our propane fireplace quit working and it turns out one part had gone bad and had to be ordered. Expensive for sure but they cannot control that. Once it came in I received a call from their scheduler reminding me they would be here tomorrow morning. This was news to me and I let them know I had not been told this before. They apologized and as it turns out it was fine but then they did the exact same thing on the next visit. On the third visit I definitely got the call to schedule the visit. Just a small hiccup they need to fix. When Cody came back with the part on the second visit he installed it and as luck would have it there was another part not working which presumably also wore out with age. This part was ordered and Cody was back again. But it still did not work. This new fancy part was far different than what was on there and they had to do some research to find the issue. They did the research and Cody was back to fix it for good. Our unit was an older model so at least we now have mostly all new parts installed. I do appreciate Cody as I know he was frustrated as well for what was happening.
