I have purchased many hams for myself and for gifts over the years and have known that I was overpaying but content to do so because of the ease of shopping online and the very good taste of their products. HOWEVER, this is about the third time that I have ordered a particular ham and Smithfield had it canceled because of 'availability'. Although my purchase has been refunded, I really wanted the pecan glazed ham and was willing to wait for it to be restocked, (after using my money for close to 6 weeks), they said that they could not do it. I bought it on sale but expect to see it "available" again soon at the regular price. Not a very good business practice in my book!! Smithfield, you just lost a longtime customer.

My wife and I visited Smithfield Marketplace yesterday and as luck would have it, we met Thomas at the Toano location. Smithfield is well known for having amazing hams, and Thomas took great care of us. My family and I are looking forward to feasting this Thanksgiving, with a tasty Smithfield Hickory Smoked Half Spiral Ham on the serving table thanks to Thomas and the great folks at Smithfield Marketplace.
