Working at Smak Plastics as a supervisor came with a decent starting pay, which is about the only highlight. The daily reality on the job, however, is far from positive. First, the physical environment is brutal. The temperature inside the facility regularly exceeds 90°F throughout the year and can soar to well over 110°F in the summer. This makes for extremely uncomfortable and exhausting conditions, especially considering there’s minimal ventilation and no proper cooling system in place.

Beyond the heat, the workspace itself is poorly maintained and dirty, which doesn't create a sense of pride or motivation for employees. The lack of proper resources compounds this issue, leaving workers to deal with inadequate tools and supplies, resulting in lower productivity and added stress. Staffing is also a constant struggle—this facility is seriously understaffed, which only heightens the stress on employees who already have demanding roles.

The company culture and management style do little to improve the experience. Communication from management is inconsistent at best, creating confusion and a lack of cohesion among teams. Unfortunately, there’s almost zero focus on team building, and morale suffers from the absence of support or motivation. High turnover rates only add to the sense of instability and a revolving-door atmosphere. Opportunities for advancement are practically non-existent, and raises are rare, even for employees who take on additional responsibilities.

All in all, while the starting pay is competitive, the lack of career growth, poor management, unbearable working conditions, and dismal team atmosphere make it a hard place to work long-term. Anyone considering a position here should be prepared for an isolated and draining experience with little to no reward for their efforts.

Stay away. Should’ve posted this a while ago but decided to now. There is no knowledge of how to run a company there. Management is clueless on just about everything. They complain about the company not making enough money, then proceed to give people half days with full pay. I cannot stress enough how much of a joke this company is. I did work here because I wanted to help improve and grow the business, but now I think back at how much of a waste of time and lack of pay it was. Don’t fire your top sales person because the “sales department is fragmented” after firing your VP of sales without a plan. Literally was told 1 week before being fired that things would stay the same. Maybe hire sales people who know how to sell not be a receptionist. LOL

Hear me out intentionally removing the safety off pneumatic tools to assist in your ridiculous quota and when you hurt yourself with said tools and they dont care seems like that's one heck of a problem XP
